Correct me if I'm wrong, but Nat'l City isn't owned by Juniper(Barclays). Another data point, my new Barclay Nat'l Park was closed about a month after BT. The reason was because I have a high revolving debt (due to BT). I called them and negotiated, basically I will pay off the card immediately, and they would reopen the account, with huge reduction in CL. Fine, IMO, it's better than to have the new account closed by the lender. dealcather said:Stay away from Juniper unless you are a US Citizen. National city lifespring visa approved me last month and for some reason froze the account after the BT went through. They sent a letter with list of things to share (I refused income docs and other personal stuff) and eventually it took a few phonecalls and some ID verification docs before they restored it. |

It is owned by Juniper. I have come across mutiple complaints about adverse actions from Juniper, that is why I have taken it out of my list. |

Don't be scared of Juniper. They're no touchier than AMX. |

okay, that would be a good reason to consider avoiding the card. |

I think this is one of the best ratios that I have seen here on FW. And this is all personal credit. I am guessing it will be hard for you to raise CL much higher. Maybe +50-70K considering your increased HHI. Good luck with your AOR! |

But you are right about getting new CLs with the top issuers, I kinda hit my max exposure with most of them. Lets see how it goes this time BTW, you can look at thisguy's AOR to get an idea how much CLI you can get with comparable HHI as mine. |

If you count only personal lines Thisguy actually only has ~2.5 X HHI. He has many business lines. In addition, he has a mortgage which may help his creditworthiness look more solid. |

So I looked over hindustani's first AOR and it mentioned how he reallocated his citi CL to his new citi card - citi didn't try any tricks? I just tried to reallocate some of my CL from my dividend card to my new mtvU card and they sent me a letter saying that they cannot move CL from dividend to a card with 0-3% APR. Is that a new policy or is it just directed towards small potatoes, so to speak? |

Last year they were not so strict with this policy but nowadays it is pretty much impossible to get this done. Check this thread out. |

The thread was informative, but it mostly discussed allocation from personal to business and vice versa which wasn't really what I was trying to do-ended up skimming the first couple of pages and stopped. Although, some of the people mentioned that different csr's do things differently so maybe I can try again and see if they will do a reallocation... |

Check out this thread instead. Thanks. That was very enlightening. Apparently only a select few have luck reallocating their CL to a 0-3% APR citi card. COnsolidating seems to work better, but I'd rather not since dividend is my oldest card. Just my luck, my first time trying to reallocate CL and citi implements a new rule |

Hindustani, Could you point me to a reference where it shows NCC (National City) is owned by Juniper (Barclays or BCS)? I searched and googled, but could not find any. Maybe you're thinking of National Park (which is a Juniper card)? Anyway, another vote against Juniper for BT. They are regularly reviewing your credit reports (soft pulls) and will take adverse action if you have too high of a revolving debt. One thing that triggers Juniper review is total reported debt over 40% of stated income. |
