Thats an interesting data point, thanks. Bottomline is stay away from Juniper cards

alert mods

That's interesting, as after my AOR my debt is over 100% of my income, and that doesn't even include the business cards!

alert mods

Stupid question, but what is the $40 card bonus for the Discover more and how do you get it in addition to the $40 from cardselection (since you have to click the link through cardselection to get their $40 bonus)? Thanks for your help with this!

Sorry, I now see how obvious the answer was. That's a reward from the card itself. Sorry for cluttering the thread with such a stupid question.

No problem, atleast you spent time to figure it out yourself

I paid off all my balances last week. I have disputed the balances on my Equifax credit report so that I can get the balances updated sooner. However, I did not find a way to dispute on my EX and TU credit reports. Does anyone know how to do this?

Do I need to even do this as my assumption is that the card issuer when reporting to EQ as part of dispute resolution will most likely also report my zero balances to EX and TU. Or am I wrong to assume this?

alert mods

You're wrong to assume that. I've recently disputed a balance off TU, but both EXP and EQF still show the same balances. Disputing on TU is easy - online link from TrueCredit/PM123

Thanks, I have now disputed with all of them and waiting for the balances to post

You don't need to stay away, you just need to be prepared for the adverse action that is coming and plan accordingly.

Since adverse action can be observable by other lenders through one's credit report, arguably, staying away might be the best plan

Speaking about adverse action by Juniper, here's another troubling data point. For those doing spouse AOR/BT, take notice. This happened recently.

Juniper told me that they would close my CC account due to high revolving debt (I did AOR & BT). Few days prior, I had just deposited BT check on wife's Juniper card. Without notice, they reduced my wife's Juniper CL by 80% (the CL was granted 4 weeks before), causing the BT check to bounce. Her TrueCredit FAKO were still around 750-ish with total util. of about 1.5 % her total CL. For the most part we have separate credit, the exception being: a joint mortgage, 1 Citi account and 1 AMEX Costco account (All from pre-FW days).
I conclude her Juniper line was dramatically reduced because *I* have too high of revolving debt for their taste.

the way to handle Juniper is to reallocate to business card (e.g., BankAtlantic) and take your BT money from there. knock on wood, Juniper is the only creditor who has ever slapped me with adverse action. for my first AOR, they kept cutting my personal line to just above my balance (around 15K). (this is an oft-reported juniper tactic.) for my second AOR, i opened a BankAtl biz card, reallocated to create a ginormous 45K line, and took a 99% BT. this was back in june, and they haven't bugged me at all since then.

Doesn't your wife want to call Juniper and ask why would they decrease her CL if she does not have high balances and her credit score is good?

Thats a very good point. Is BankAtlantic known to issue business cards to people with 0 years in business and 0 revenue?

yes, per the QS of MikeR397's business A0R thread.

Why not add Discover Biz 18-month offer? Also, you can get 2x personal and 2x biz citi lines in a single rama-o-app Lifespring you probably should go for the 25k BT with app per other's suggestion (but make sure you get payment in quickly, as they tend to set you CL = BT => 100% utilization). One of the quickest to approve and post BT...

Thanks for your suggestions. As this is the first time I am applying for biz cards and since I really do not have a business, I thought I should take it easy on the number of biz cards I apply for. I picked the ones that are known to give CL to apps with 0 years, $0 revenue profile. Is discover biz one of them?

With citi I have almost hit my max exposure as far as personal lines go. So no point applying for 2 personal cards. With biz cards I decided to apply for only one as I want to first see if they will even give me a CL without an actual biz

I will definitely ask for $25k BT with app for Lifespring as you suggested. Would they BT to bank account or do I need to BT to a Citi card (no balance, so I will go to a negative balance and ask for a refiund check, hopes this trick still works)

alert mods

Citi and chase have told me the same thing, MAX EXPOSURE!! That just means you need to apply for more new cards 3 new chases and 1 citi within 30 days of being told that and 1 new BofA!!!!!

I would not listen to any reason they give you!!!!!

It's all about if they (CSR) need to give a card or not!!!!!

Don't over think it!!!!!! An AOR shouldn't be possable but it is, you are worrying to much!!!!!!!!! All they will say is NO, You can get UNLIMITED BIZ cards BUT there is a limit on new personal cards!!!

alert mods

if you're at max exposure with citi, get the hilton honors visa and reallocate. it seems to have its own independent credit bucket. you might have to downgrade from visa signature to reallocate. search for scott1961's posts in the reallocation thread.

This is exactly my point (different credit bucket) Chase denied my personal card in sept 07, so I applied for a chase biz card and got 6,000. Then I applied for the Chase PROF. card and got 20,000 and now I'm waiting for the chase UPS card!!!!

The reason you apply for SO MANY accounts in an AOR is to try and find the different credit buckets!!!!THEY WON'T TELL YOU WHAT THE DIFFERENT CREDIT BUCKETS ARE (maybe they don't know what they are)

AOR is a loophole in the system, exploit it!!!!

EDIT: I just called chase and my UPS card was approved for another 15,000!!!!
