I did a search; couldn't find anything about this.

I have a checking account with chase, and I was in a situation at a gentlemen's club where I needed access to cash quickly. My daily limit for ATM withdrawl is only $500

I called chase and asked them about cutoff time (I planned on hitting the ATM once more 1 minute after midnight, just wanted to make sure it was per day or every 24 hours), and they said I could request a higher limit if I wanted.

So now I have a $1000 daily limit. No credit pull or anything like that. They just did it when I asked. Not sure if this only works with chase.

BTW what Chris Rock says about the champagne room is true

You spent too much.

Chase Premier Customers automatically have $2k ATM limit per day per account, BOA Premiere Customers have $2k limit per day per account, Citigold Customers have $2.5k limit per day per account.

Citi and BOA Private bank customers have a $5k ATM limit per day per account. Personally I have 2 FMA, 1 Citigold Checking, 1 E-Savings, 1 Ultimate Money Market, and PB MMA so in theory I could withdraw $30k a day alone using my Citi ATM card an another $15k using my BOA ATM as I have 3 accounts with BOA.

If you need to withdraw more than $45k a day in strip join you got a real problem.

Good luck getting an ATM to spit out 10k cash

I've done that, but not with one card.

I needed a large sum to help a friend out over the weekend, so I headed to the ATM.

My card has a $2k limit per acct. So I w/d $2k out of my chekcing, $2k out of my MM, $2k out of my LOC, and $2k out of my misc acct (the # I give out to people I don't know). That got me $8k. I then did the same with the second ATM card I had (I only needed $10k) so I took out another $2k from my checking acct with the second card.

Had I went to my mom's house and got her card (or did her accts which are connected to my card), I could have done significantly more.

However, that was the one and only time I ever did a w/d more than $200.

Most banks will permit a one-time ATM withdrawal up to an amount slightly larger than the normal max daily limit. For example, I can withdraw $800 a day from Chevy Chase, but if I call them, they can extend the limit to $3,000 for the day on an exception basis.

I had no idea what my limits where until I read this. I just checked online and US Bank gives me...

Daily Purchase Limit $3,000.00

Daily ATM Withdrawal Limit $800.00

Why do you think there would be a credit pull when you only request to withdraw more of your OWNED money?

hey! it is free money!

You can "link" accounts to a citi ATM card, but recent thread tells of a guy who lost $5k this way in a single day. Withdrawal limits are there for a reason - if you need lots of cash, why not go to a bank beforehand?

My friend who regulars casinos called to raise his limit to $5000/day.

I think you can ask the banks. They are just covering their ass by having a low limit. But if you have enough money in the account, you can request anything you want.

I had a serious problem with CHASE bank.

They dont have any chase bank in PA. so I drove to NJ to withdraw cash- I wanted more than $1000 but they wouldnt increase my daily limit more than $1000. I thought that sucks because its your money and you are not able to withdraw more than $1000, incase you need it.

I spoke to cust reps and their managers, I even spoke to Chase Fraud department( I dont know why but the manager transferred my phone to Fraud dept) I was on the phone for 1 hour but they wouldnt increase the amount.
I was so frustrated with Chase.

I want to know if anyone banking with chase has more than $1000 daily withdrawal limit?

Any takes?

Bold, doesn't make it more legible...
I really don't think they target you specifically, they just have an ATM limit for security reasons. If you drove all the way to the bank, you should have done it during regular banking hours.
That said, I really don't understand what you are doing here. Everybody is using online banks for their special features and convenience (e.g. high interest), but also have a LOCAL bank account so they can pop in the bank say hello and withdraw money in an emergency. You seem to be using a bank that has no local branch, and yet it is not well known for offering things a local bank would not have...
