You know that credit limit isn't determined by Visa or MC right?

alert mods

You know that credit limit isn't determined by Visa or MC right?Of course. I am just saying that the BOA AMEX line they gave me is 1/2 of what I normally get from any other card (whether it is VISA, MC, or AMEX).

alert mods

None of the links works anymore. Dead?

alert mods

Have anybody called BOA and confirmed that they'll get $100.00?
I called couple of days ago & was told by couple of the reps. that they couldn't find find this offer & I used that link to apply.
Than I e-mailed them & again was told that the only offer is $25.00 CR & not a $100!!
I e-mailed them a link that I used to apply & copied the conditions ( because the offer is no longer there, but I printed that at the time of application )among with some questions about balance transfer.
That was about 27 hours ago & nothing happened, but they promise to reply within 12 hours!!

alert mods

I tryed a couple different computers, get error that credit card is not available anymore?? Dead ?

alert mods

I just received my card in the mail after a deferred response. I'm holding with customer service to confirm the statement credit and there seems to be no easy discovery by the customer service. Does anyone have a screenshot of the original offer or has anyone had success in confirming this with customer service?

EDIT: I'm told I will receive "a $50 or $75 statement credit within 8-12 weeks upon activation of the card." Anyone else have any luck?

alert mods

i need a screen shot copy to if anyone has one

alert mods

Wow! $ 50 or $ 75.
I was only offered $25 and after couple of e-mails $50.

alert mods

All I have is the following:
Promo code FAB49I.
This is the link I used to apply, which is not working anymore

https://wwwn.applyonlinenow.com/USCCapp?CtI/entry?sc=FAB49I.

And I have a partial printout of that offer, which included the following:

“Receive a $100 Statement Credit after qualifying transaction(s) §§= ”

“§§ To qualify for this offer, your new account must be used to make = any
purchase, balance transfer or cash advance transaction totaling $25
excluding any transaction fees, if applicable within 45 days of the
account open date.”

Good luck!
Use it well and post the results, please!

As required by law, rates, fees, and other costs of this credit card offer are disclosed here. All account terms are governed by the Credit Card Agreement. Account and Agreement terms are not guaranteed for any period of time; all terms, including the APRs and fees, may change in accordance with the Agreement and applicable law. We may change them based on information in your credit report, market conditions, business strategies, or for any reason.
Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for Purchases Standard APR:
9.99% or
15.99%
The APR you receive is determined based on your creditworthiness. See explanation 1 below for Default APR.
† Other APRs Balance Transfers: 0% Introductory APR applies to Balance Transfers through your first 12 statement Closing Dates (the Promotional Period). When the Promotional Period ends, the Standard APR for Balance Transfers is 9.99% or 15.99%. The Promotional Period will end sooner if your payment is late or the account balance is over the credit limit. See 1 and 2 below for explanation.
Cash Advances: 0% Introductory APR applies to Direct Deposits that are not processed online (non-online Direct Deposits) and Check Cash Advances through your first 12 statement Closing Dates (the Promotional Period). When the Promotional Period ends, the Standard APR for non-online Direct Deposits and Check Cash Advances posted to your account either during the Promotional Period or before January 19, 2008 is 9.99% or 15.99%. Non-online Direct Deposits and Check Cash Advances posted to your account on or after January 19, 2008 and after the end of Promotional Period will be subject to the Standard APR for Direct Deposits and Check Cash Advances of 24.99%. The Promotional Period will end sooner if your payment is late or the account balance is over the credit limit. See 1 and 2 below for explanation.
The Standard APR for Bank and ATM Cash Advances and for online Direct Deposits is 24.99%.
Cash Equivalents posted to your account on or after January 19, 2008 will be Cash Advances subject to the Standard APR for Bank and ATM Cash Advances. Cash Equivalents include the purchase of money orders, foreign currency, and travelers checks from a non-financial institution, person-to-person money transfers, bets, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips and, as of January 19, 2008, will include fines and bail bonds.
Default APR: Up to 29.99% for all Purchase, Balance Transfer, and Cash Advance balances if late or overlimit. See 1 below for explanation.
Grace Period for repayment of balance for Purchases At least 20 days from the statement Closing Date (provided you fully paid your New Balance Total from the previous statement by its Payment Due Date). See 3 below for explanation.

1 Each time your minimum payment is late (i.e., not received by 5 p.m., ET, on its Payment Due Date), or the account balance is over the credit limit, we may increase each of your account's Standard APRs up to the Default APR. The Default APR will be applied to all new and outstanding balances.
If your account has balances with different APRs, payments are applied to the balance with the lowest APR before any payments are applied to balances with higher APRs. This means that balances with higher APRs are not reduced until balances with lower APRs have been paid off.
2 The Introductory APR is effective upon the opening of your account and does not apply to Purchases, Bank and ATM Cash Advances, or online Direct Deposits. When a Promotional Period ends, the Standard (non-introductory) APR is applied to new and outstanding balances (consisting of Balance Transfers, non online Direct Deposits, and Check Cash Advances). If your payment is late or the account balance is over the credit limit, either the Standard APR or the Default APR will be applied to those balances as of the first day of the billing cycle in which the payment was late or the balance exceeded the credit limit. We reserve the right to change the Standard APRs and the Default APR on your account. REMINDER: To preserve the grace period for new purchases, pay your New Balance Total in full and on time. The 0% APR does not apply to Purchases.
3 The number of days between your statement Closing Date and your Payment Due Date (the grace period) may vary from one Billing Cycle to another.
4 We include Transaction Fees when computing finance charges. Incurring Fees results in an APR exceeding 0% for the billing statement on which Fees appear. The Daily Periodic Rate (DPR) will remain 0% as disclosed.
American Express (1) converts charges made in foreign currencies to U.S. dollars using a rate selected on the business day prior to the day on which the charges are processed by American Express and (2) applies a 1% commission to the converted amount. See the Credit Card Agreement for details.
American Express Cards are not presently accepted for the purchase of bets, lottery tickets, or casino gaming chips.

None of these links are working for me (??)

And when I look up the AMEX cards on BofA's website, they only have a $50 bonus.

Is this dead or am I missing something?

alert mods

thank you for the terms

alert mods

Thanks for posting the terms! I will call and read the wording to them and demand an e-mail review of the writing if they still do not honor the offer terms.

alert mods

I think it's still early to call. They usually know nothing and it's like talking to wall. I will call 12 weeks later if I won't get the money and ask to connect to manager. He knows what to to) I did that last time.

Why is everybody freaking out already? Per the terms of the deal it can take 8-12 weeks after the qualifying purchase for the $100 credit to post. Why not wait those 8-12 weeks and then raise the issue? More than likely the bonus will automatically appear.

That's like not confirming reservations you have made. If you just assume since it has told you things are okay at the beginning of your transaction, you're likely to hit a wall when it comes time. These companies fall through on these offers all the time, so I'd rather take a few minutes to defend my side than wait and end up with nothing. I've called to confirm other offers and did not end up with problems like this (five minute hold time to research the offer). That is uncalled for.

I don't think it's like that at all. Unlike reservations, I didn't commit any resources to this offer, and if they're tardy it doesn't really matter, free money is still free money. My feeling is, on the chance they don't honor their word later on, nothing I can say now will make them do differently. And any leverage I have over them now I will still have anyway if I wait to see if things work out on their own. The only difference between me making a fuss now and me making the same fuss later is that if I wait till later I might not have to make a fuss at all. Saves me one fuss. I'm not really assuming it will work out, it's just that whether it works out or not doesn't much depend on whether I babysit the situation.

I see these conversations on every credit card, checking account bonus etc. I have never not recieved the bonus. I have a print out of the offer. These conversations are a waste of time.

I concur!!

I didn't realize this was going to become the most complex psychological exercise in becoming the best person by working the least in obtaining an offer. As stated, I too agree that it is time to terminate allegations and assumptions concerning the offer. It looks to now be most appropriate to only post if/when you have received statement credit.
