EDIT: I was as surprised as everyone else to see such a large bonus. I live in Sioux Falls (Citicard HQ) so maybe this is a little potshot at a rival company =)
Yeah, any way you could scan? We're not calling you a liar, it would just be nice to have on file. That's prolly the best Discover bonus I've seen. The monthly purchases are annoying for the 12k Discover Miles bonuses.

I think it should be that you will get some dollars if somebody uses your invitation code and get approved.
Thanks OP. I just applied, and I saw the message "Congratulations! You Have Been Approved! Welcome to the Discover® Card family! Your new Discover Card(s) will be mailed to you shortly at the address provided on your application." But later I got an email to say to wait 30 days for the application to be processed. So do I get approved?

Just call them. I applied over the phone and was given a decision right then. Sometimes they want to ask you questions to verufy some things that don't match, etc..
I applied yesterday and didn't get an instant approval. I got this "30 days to process" email. This morning I got an email saying my card is on its way. Still don't know the credit limit or anything.
Thanks OP! I always wanted this card, and I am glad I got it with a pretty good bonus.

I called them and got confirmed the $100 bonus.
Then I applied online and got approved.

Does balance transfer count as purchase for the $500 requirement? Spending $500 in 3 month seems a little hard for me to do.
Darn, i already have a Discover card. 5% gas rebates are great on the card.

There is no reason you can't have more than one Discovercard. I currently have two...the gas card and the standard Discovercard. I use one for gas because the rebate is great, and the other for most everyday purchases...plus they have extra rebate offers available on a quarterly basis that you can sign up forwith the standard card. It currently is 5% on air travel, cruises and motels. Works out great!
Anyone could confirm that $100 promotion is still valid and spending $500 is all I need? The fine print is not visible in the scanned ad.
I called the number to apply and the CSR could not confirm the promotion terms, only the rates. She said if I applied online I would be able to verify it, but again I went to apply.discovercard.com and entered the code and all it gave me to read (before submitting the SSN and stuff at least) were the rates. No note of $100.
Anyone had luck getting those?
BTW, you do NOT get 5% CashBack on gas as the ad seems to say - rather, each 3 months they name 3 categories in which you SHOULD spend to get 5%, and one of those categories might or might not turn out to be gas...

I see what your saying about not being able to confirm the $100 bonus. However, here is the direct link to the page where you enter the provided invitation code: DAFM
And you mis-read the initial offer. It was not for 5% off gas. That's the gas card Discover offers.

Link Sure you CAN enter the code there, but it does not mean you get $100, does it? The next page says nothing about $100

The CSR at Discover confirmed the $100 offer after I told him the invitation code.

I got my card yesterday and $100 Cash Back was confimed by CSR when I called to activate it. I used code from the original FW forum thread. Card came, I think, in about 1/2 the time that Citi usually takes (1/2 wk vs 1 wk). One thing I learned from CSR that I hadn't known about or seen anywhere else is that the 5% reward each quarter (when they change categories) is based on a maximum spending limit of $800 for a maximum reward of $40/quarter. Any one else under the same impression? You also have to sign up every quarter to be eligible for the reward for the coming quarter.

Terms and everything else is the same as Op. It came in my sunday paper. The only item different is the code. I will try to scan it today, and post.

The same as OP just the last letter Invitation Code DAFN

I received my card. Does anyone know how long it takes for the $100 credit? I made a purchase > $500 on the day I activated it so I took care of the requirement.

Thanks for posting them. Thankfully, I don't think I'll hit the limit too often.

I got a Discover offer in a Valpak or Money Mailer or something, $50 CashBack after $500 in purchases. I'm thinking "I can finally share something on FW!" Then I come on here and search to make sure it hasn't already been posted, and find this thread. I'm worthless.
My code was FJAK, get approved by May 1, spend $500 in 3 months, get $50 CashBack bonus in addition to your standard CashBack. BT 0% till Feb 08, max $75 fee. So I guess if someone wants to apply after April 6th but before May 1st, you can use this code.
