It depends on what you want to do (appspree sooner or appspree later?) By bumping now (still possible at TU and EQ with 4-5 services), you could net incremental cash between today and February 2009.
the following is from dead TU bumpage thread...
jackcrawfish said:llh703 said:Am I to understand that you pay monthly monitoring fees to all 5 of these products? That would seem a little expensive for me, and it just seems like "overdoing" the monitoring..but to do that every month..seems a little extreme to me..Agreed. It is overdoing it if you have no plan other than to understand how 5 soft hits per day affect your TU credit file. However**
**NOTE: I'm planning an AOR in the next 30 days ... (for easy reference, see SIS sticky and DaveHanson post)
...from which I expect to yield and added 250,000 in new credit lines ...from which I expect to yield and added 170,000 in new BalanceTransfer money ...from which I expect to yield and added $6000-8000 dollars in interest income
...from this new income, I can afford to sink expenses of...
1)11.99 per month CHaseIdentProtect, 2)11.95 per month CreditSecire, 3) 5.95 per month National City Identity Protect, 4) 9.95 per month True Credit 5) 0.00 per month CreditKarma.
Without bumping EQ and TU inquiries I only ...
...I expect to yield and added 100,000 in new credit lines ...I expect to yield and added 60,000 in new BalanceTransfer money ...I expect to yield and added $2000-3000 dollars in interest income |

The 18 TU inq can be bumped off using non-TU related services like CreditSecure, ChaseIDProtection, etc.. the 10 EQ inqs will require some work (daily pulls from 4-5 monitoring svcs), and you can forget about the 12 EXP inqs. If you're applying for new credit or doing an AOR in the near future, then I would try to b*; otherwise I wouldn't. |

EQ inqs don't want to budge. this is a problem. (only pulling CS and PM123 btw.) also as a side note, just got a call from barclays asking for all kids of info from me about why my credit report went from $0 to $250k+ in credit card debt in two months. first time i've had a call like that. damn you credit crunch. |

I'm bumping my 18 inq's that were added back off my TU report slowly. Using CK and PM123 daily. I have had 2-3 instances of an inq added back for no apparent reason, but CK seems to be doing the trick for the most part, I'm down to 9. |

I was able to bump 9 inquiries off of EQ. I had 12 total and I was unable to bump the last three, two of which are Ameriprise for car insururance which plan to dispute, and the final which was an inquiry from when the land lord pulled the report prior to obtaining my rental lease. I believe since these last three are classified differently in the system, bumping does not work the same way. The first drop was noticed at exactly 100 pulls. The following services were used: -ChaseIDProtection -Credit Secure -Privacy Matters123 -TrueCredit -Credit Check Total |

I think AORers would be interested in the following data points (correct me if I am wrong). And I hope FWFers who subscribe EQ service can continue update the information for us. My Equifax choppage date from 03-2008 3/23 4/19 5/22 6/19 7/16 I would like to know if everyone get the same or different date? |

What are the services you guys use to monitor your SP's? I have 24PP, NC, and CK. I was able to pull a free one with the "denied credit recently" option from Equifax's official site, but they changed that now, and it shows an error and takes a few days to reset before I can do that one again. When Equifax's "denied credit recently" option works, is when I get to see my SP's, but now that it's once every week or so, it makes it hard to find out the actual day they've been cut on. Also, I'm at 125 right now. I've seen someone say that it was up over 150 before HP's starting b*ing for them. Is this natural? I've been pulling very regularly for about 4 months, and I've been seeing c* a couple times when I get up around this mark. They take me down to only about 80 or so. Where do they usually start to b* off? Thanks guys, Brett |

Thanks guys, Brett There is a simple solution to the choppage problem. Start your B* the day after C*, then use 5 or so services daily and you'll B* before the next C* date. Trying to B* while C* is happening is FUTILE! The only answer is to have B* completed before the next C*. |

Questions about Credit Expert/Credit Manager: 1. Has anyone signed up for both Credit Check Total and Credit Expert/Credit Manager? 2. Do they show up as distinct softs or are they combined into a single soft? 3. For Credit Expert, it advertises a 30-day trial. Does the Credit Secure trick work - cancel and then re-up to be able to pull daily? Just asking before I take the plunge in answering my own questions.... |

After choppage about on 5/20ish, 6/22ish and 7/22ish, I became I began my 4th and 5th service on 7/22/08. I finally saw bumpage yesterday (8/15) 3 inquiries and more to come with today's pulls...

What about Citi Identity Monitor? Will it work for bumpage? I don't see it in the quick summary with the other services. |

1. I started a biz creditsecure trial account online 2. I called to see if I can switch to personal creditsecure (11.99/mo vs 22.99/mo) 3. Agent cancelled biz cs to see if he could start personal cs 4. Found out that it can't be done 5. I asked if I turn biz back on if I would be able to pull daily (Agent said yes) 6. Enrolled online 7. I asked if I call agent back to cancel 8. Agent said yes but they would try to keep me as a customer
Asking if anyone cancelled via an agent and got a buyback offer. So I called to cancel my AM3X CS again today. Last time, there was no buyback offer. This time, they said they can do annual billing at $119.99 instead of $11.99 monthly billing. So, you basically get 12 months for the price of 10. On another note, I got EQ chopped on Monday. It almost seems like they have a chop alert... whenever I start getting a few to bump off, they chop on the next business day. Luckily, I bumped 4 off over the weekend. I'm down to 4 now and suspending b* for the time being. |

Any advice on one service to keep? I used TrueCredit, Equifax, and CreditSecure. I tried the PM123 special but got shot down. What do you use as a keeper? |

Just asking before I take the plunge in answering my own questions....I have Credit Expert service free through my employer. I just enrolled today in Credit Check Total. It appears as two distinct soft pulls via the online Experian dispute credit report. The Credit Expert service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • CIC/EXPERIAN CREDIT RPT Date: September 4, 2008 , August 19, 2008 , The Credit Expert ALERTS ONLY reports on my Experian dispute report as: • CIC/EXPERIAN ALERTS Date: September 1, 2008 , August 29, 2008 The Credit Check Total service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • CIC/EXPERIAN IDENTITY CH Date: September 4, 2008 , August 4, 2008 added miscellaneous info: The Credit Secure service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • AMEX-SERVICED BY CIC Date: September 4, 2008 , September 3, 2008 , The Credit Secure ALERTS ONLY reports on my Experian dispute report as: • INTERSECTIONS INC Date: September 1, 2008 , August 29, 2008 The CHASE IDProtection service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • FAC/ID PROTECTION Date: September 4, 2008 , September 3, 2008 The TrueCredit service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • TRANSUNION INTERACTIVE Date: September 4, 2008 , September 3, 2008 The TrueCredit via National City service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • TrueCredit/NATL CITY IDE Date: September 4, 2008 , September 3, 2008 The Privacy Guard service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • CIC/TRILEGIANT Date: September 3, 2008 , August 1, 2008 The PrivacyMatters123 service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • TrueCredit/PRIVACY MATTE Date: September 1, 2008 , August 29, 2008 The IDTHEFTBlock service reports on my Experian dispute report as: • FAC/KROLL Date: March 13, 2008 How these credit monitoring services report on TU and EQ is not readily available to me. One final side note: I called 866-506-7894 to try and cancel/re-enroll in the Credit Check Total product to gain ability of immediate daily pulls. It is not possible for the Credit Check Total program - you have to wait the obligatory 7-9 days before you can do daily pulls.
During the same call, I asked if there were any promotions currently available... rep said for 3 months, I could get Credit Check Total for $19.95 rather than $29.95. |

I have been using Chase Identity Protection since May 12. Well, today, I can't login for some reason. I call and during the 6 minute hold music, I check my credit cards to see when I was last charged. I can't find it on any of my spenders even though I know I used my Chase Freedom. I'm not sure what happened, but the rep says that my card was declined in August and September so they closed the account. The expiration date he gave me was wrong and I guess I could have mistyped it but who knows. So, in the end, I got Chase ID Protection for 4 months for free. Thanks Chase. |

Jack, is CreditExpert a daily puller or monthly? Hard to tell from the wording on the site which it is. |
