I already have 130 on EQ, yet no b*

Did anyone succeed recently?

74ak said: I already have 130 on EQ, yet no b* So you checked your EQ report and it is currently displaying those 130 softs ?

yes, and it is 132 as of today

I've been getting b*, of my soft inquirys. I only need to bump about 24 more before my hard inquirys start to bump off. I've been pulling daily with TC though and now that TC no longer works every day I will need to find a new service.

74ak said: yes, and it is 132 as of todayBefore you get chopped and waste all that effort, add another service like CCT with its 7 day trial, or CIDP and its 30 day trial. If you do not already have CS, pay the $11.99 for it.

what is CCT? I already have Chase ID Protection and AMEX Credit Secure. I guess, I have only few days left before ch*

OK, I found it - Credit Check Total, from their website:

Monitoring with Experian begins within 48 hours of enrollment in your free trial. Monitoring with Equifax and TransUnion takes approximately 4 days to begin

I think ch* will be on 22nd;
I requested free EQ report and disputed few items, so that should result in atleast 2 more softs...
Any other ideas?

Data point: PM123 is still letting me pull daily.

From what I have seen, I don't believe pulling your own credit report through Equifax.com causes bumpage. I use EQ Credit Watch Gold and I have pulled my free annual report and dispute reprts, and whenever I do so, no soft or hard inquirys are bumped like they are when using TrueCredit, PM123, etc...

tuffghost said: I use EQ Credit Watch GoldDoes CWG cause EQ choppage to start occurring ?
i.e. Has anyone experienced EQ choppage but never used CWG or CWS ?

I can see Fair Isaac(my fico) and Equifax (full report pull) soft inqs dated when I pulled my report myself. Are you saying these and inqs done by EQ when researching my disputes are not counted towards "quota"?

Is it true that creditkarma no longer bump TU inquiries?

We have some cause to believe so.

I'm about to start a b* operation. What are the best services to use as of today? I know AMEX Credit Secure is one of the necessaries. It appears the Chase product only allows monthly pulls now, per their website today.

first thanks for reading and i apologize if its already been answered!

im with ibm im about to start b* myself. i have at least 4 hard pulls on my eq that i want to get rid of before i apply for new credit. ive read parts of this thread and feel like i have a good idea how it works.

it seems like c* is around the corner. so i plan to start right after that. id like to make sure i have my plan in order. please give any insight!

i currently have no credit pulling tools except for citi identity monitor which ive read isnt effective.

so i need to sign up for a service to monitor soft pulls and 3-4 services to generate the softs.

what do people use to view their softs? can i use one of the same services i use to generate softs to view the number of pulls i have? is it really important to know the number of softs? or does it just let me know when ive been c*?

it seems like true credit, AMEX credit, chase id are all good ones. what are the best to sign up for and is it correct to say if im pulling daily i should only need 3-4 services to bump my eq inquiries?

what is the most economical way to do this?

ibmman69 said: It appears the Chase product only allows monthly pulls now, per their website todayWow, I signed up 3 days ago, Thursday the 18th and can pull daily.

There are now 2 different Chase products. One costs $9.99/month and only allows a pull every 30 days; the $11.99 version allows daily pulls.

Uso said: Is it true that creditkarma no longer bump TU inquiries?
I believe you can still bump with CK. However, I don't track softs, just pull CK every day and watch for 1-3 point increases every now and then, which I believe is an inq dropping off. Like others, I had TU inqs come back on 12/12/08 (as evidenced by a 6 point drop on my CK score). Pulling daily since then, I've seen a +2, +1, and finally a +3 to original score today. So my theory is that TU is somehow putting those inqs back on the report, but that they can fall off just like before. I only use CK for b*, so i can't speak for other monitoring services.

I have 2 hard inquiries (~8 soft) on my TU report. I'd like to bump these off but I've read some of this thread (and others) about TU putting the hard inquiries back on the report. Is it worth it to attempt with TU anymore?

Bumping 2 inqs off is hardly worth the effort (and subscription cost) ... even less so if they are over 6 month old.

Yes.

thanks

Yes.

I signed up for Chase ID Protect and AMEX Credit Secure. I'd like a 3rd service. Any recommendations?

Also, is there a way to see the soft inquiries on either service?

cct, CK, pm123 (maybe)

ibmman69 said: Also, is there a way to see the soft inquiries on either service?

You can only see your soft inquiries by pulling your report directly from the 3 bureaus. I have a paid subscription to Equifax Credit Watch Gold which allows me to view my soft pulls. Using Eq CWG doesn't count toward bumpage itself though.

Has anyone had good experience with the National City product? It's definitely a lot cheaper than CCT at $20/mo.

CCT is $9.95/mo. you have to call to get the deal, but it's easy to get.

Can Equifax be bumped anymore?

Yes, I just bumped 2 EQ inquiries last week, using Credit Secure.

Using JUST Credit Secure?

I was thinking of using nat city in my name and another in my wives name (key bank has one i think that gives access to 2 persons at a time) do those ones still work w/EQ... and I read that TU bumpage no longer worked can anyone confirm bumpage working on them? would love to bump a few off for me and the wife and already am paying for a product that doesn't work w/daily pulls to my knowledge (although I can pull it daily due to being grandfathered in i'm not sure it does actually refresh it) that being privacyguard... it came for free on an old card and i decided to pay for it after that since at the time it was only 9.99/mo and now its 12.95/mo.... i may have to do some research to see if it does actually repull daily... what about experian too can they be bumped at all or no?

Slow down, take a deep breath, and ask just one question.

VanceWade said: tuffghost said: Yes, I just bumped 2 EQ inquiries last week, using Credit Secure.

Using JUST Credit Secure?

Yes, but as I mentioned awhile back in this thread I'm one of the fortunate ones who has never received choppage so I can take my time bumping them using only one service. It takes awhile though, about 85 new pulls for a hard inquiry to drop off.

ok there were only three in there but

1.) does TU bumpage still work
2.) Can experian be bumped
3.) what one should I use in my wives name to go w/nat city to also get dual pulls (for her and me) for best results (EQ and TU if exp can't be bumped)

1. Yes.
2. No.
3. I don't know and I'm not sure I understand.

nat city LS Visa pulls TU

credit diagnosis, a TU based service, allows daily pulls still.
