dmlavigne1 said:Don't waste a tier 1 app on hsbc! With a 210K HHI and an existing HSBC card at 25K they gave a 600 line. Move them to the bottom. What card was that? From what I have read the HSBC GM card (which I have) gives crappy limits (like the one I have). Now that I think about it though, it's definitely not tier 1 material since I only have 3K with them to begin with it's not like I'm gaining anything by reallocating. I'll have to think about moving Discover down the list too. |

Once my payment for the Advanta card clears I am going to cancel it and try to consolidate my Discover personal into my discover business card. |

I went for the consolidation on the Discover card but got shot down. So now I have closed the Discover Business and Advanta Business cards. I asked the CSR from Advanta when the cancellation would go through and she said two days. I'm undecided over whether I am going to do the applications this weekend or give it another week to make sure the cancellation registers when I try to apply for a new one. I am planning on asking for a $25K BT on all of the applications with good BT terms from issuers I have no cards from. |

Pulled the trigger and got a LOT of deferred apps. I'll update them as the approval/denials come in. |

So far I've gotten calls from Bank of America and Citibank. Bank of America gave me $5,000 in additional credit for the NEA Visa app, but that is it. I had the reallocate from the Charles Schwab card to get the Fidelity card. I went ahead and reallocated $5,000 to it since I plan to use it as my daily spender after the 5x TY points run out on my Citibank cards. Citibank was even stingier. They wouldn't extend any new credit. The call I got was from the personal card dept. so I'm not sure about the business applications but the only way they'd open the Premier Pass and Platinum cards were if I reallocated from my Diamond Rewards Mastercard. I went ahead and reallocated the minimum they would allow because I wanted to get the opening bonuses for those two cards but they rep I spoke with said the minimum for the Premier Pass was $2,000 and $8,000 for the Platinum card. Once I get all the cards I am going to have to figure out exactly what I want to do. I am thinking that it would be in my best interest to consolidate some of these cards if they won't allow me to move the lion's share of the CL off to the card I want to BT from. The last time I did a bunch of BTs I was able to reallocate and leave $500 on many cards or, at most, $1,000. If I have to leave larger amounts it is going to really cut into the BT amount and reduce my profits. I'll be sure to keep open the cards I have had the longest for aging purposes but I will probably end up closing/consolidating a lot of the miscellaneous cards I got in the last App-O-Rama that aren't doing me any good now and are just taking up CL space. |

I left 3,000 on 1 of my BofA personal cards to make my merrill+ card all it could be. The next month I CLIed the 3,000 back to 10,000. I tried CLIing my 600 suntrust card (fia) all I got was 300 more. So I think leaving a few thousand might actually be better or closing altogether. Venturion has had good success with closing after CLR and then reapplying in the next AOR. |

With an HHI of $120k, that's kind of weird. Hopefully the business cards will be in a different credit "bucket" and you'll get some good lines there (and then you can reallocate more from personal). If it works out this way, you may want to close/consolidate any of your personal cards that you don't plan on using, and aren't your oldest, with the business line you intend to max out. |

I haven't heard from BOA business or Citi Business so I am hoping that is the case. I did apply for the Business card from citibank first so maybe they granted more credit on that line which brought me to the limit of what they would give me. I hope that's the case. |

I just got an email from WAMU for the ESPN Total Access card and went ahead and applied. I'm not sure how I missed this one when I was doing the initial planning but it has a 6 month no-fee 0% BT offer. I was only approved for $2,000, so that is not very useful at all but I have a $6,500 CL on my Providian card so I am going to try to do a reallocation or consolidation. It won't be a huge amount even if I can reallocate but since it is no-fee it's worth it. |

I just spoke to a knowledgeble CSR at Wachovia and she told me that check numbers do not matter. You get 6 months from the date you deposit them. Bad news is that there is some last date by which you can ask for additional checks (around 4 months from when you applied) and they have the same expiration date (around 5 months from when you applied) regardless of when you order them. So, you can pay off the first BT 1 month early and request a second BT, but that's it. |

I just got a 10K approval for the Citi Business card. I am going to wait until I get the credit limit for the Business Premier Pass card and then call in to activate them and see what I can get done with reallocating the credit limits to one of them. |

brushwood, can you post or PM the link for this card: Tier 1 (Cards I can reallocate to and have decent sized limits on other cards) Citibank - Citi Business Premier Pass - (15,000 TY points -- ann. fee waived first year 12 month 0% no fee BT) DEFERRED -- APPROVED -- Waiting for card and CL information in the mail The link in your OP went to the T&C page and I couldn't navigate to the application page from there. I'd like to include this card in my AOR; I've got a version of it but it isn't as good as the above terms. Thank you!!! 2Cor521 |

2Cor521 You are using firefox, right? It doesn't display properly in firefox. You need to open it in IE to see the "Apply Now" button. |

2Cor521 My Citi PP biz from last month, said 3% uncapped BT fee but when I look at my offers online it says 3% up to 50 max. I WAS upset when I saw the 3% uncapped, but now it's OK. I don't know if I made it under the wire or the TC is wrong. |

I just got the approval letter from Advanta. I only got a $2,500 limit. I am thinking about asking for an increase when I call to activate but I'm not sure if that is going to fly. Unless I get a substantially higher credit limit I am going to try to cancel the balance transfer of course. |

I ask to speak with a supervisor and even he played stupid. He told me he didn't have access to my credit report, he said use the card for a few months and we'll see. I told him, how about I charge 1.00 and put it in my drawer. But it wasn't a big deal to ask. |

I got $2,500. I was switching cards (canceled my prior $12,500 CL and reapplied). My profile had only improved since the last app (lower DTI, higher income, etc.). Advanta is one of the few issuers that seems to be legitimately tightening the reins across all borrowers. |
