I had some issues with BankAtlantic when I tried to BT into Citi for 19.5K they put some kind of security hold and It didnt go through. The online account showed BT approved but never credited to BA or Citi card. I called 3-4 times and finally they canceled the original and filed another BT for me. I would keep calling them to make sure. Just FYI I lost 2-3 weeks of intrest

I had to cancel my original BT from BankAtlantic and start a new one. I BT'ed to a Citi card this time and it took about 4 days to credit. I haven't updated the OP yet because I am still waiting for the check from Citi.

I just got my business accounts with citibank closed. I called and asked about the BT check that I just deposited and they stated that they placed a stop payment on it and that my account was closed due to excessive inquiries on Equifax. The lady I spoke with said I could dispute any inquiries that were not legit and they would do another soft pull and consider reopening the accounts. I am pulling my report every day to try to bump the inquiries off but I don't know how fast I can get that done. I also have some inquiries that are not legit that I wasn't going to bother disputing but now I think I will. I am trying to think of any other speedy way to get those inquiries off because this is costing me a $25,000 BT.

I have 13 inquiries on EQ, all in the last 2 months and looking at them they are all legit. I guess I need some power b* or something.

Supercreditman calls EQ and disputes 2 at a time, really what he says is (can you investigate these 2 INQs). He doesn't say they're fraudulent, he just says he doesn't recognise them.

He's never had a problem, even doing LEGIT INQs (for the babies) and has NEVER LOST A TRADELINE!!!!!

Thats your fastest way, but EQ will check to see if you have a new account to match it too. It's a YMMV way of removing INQs, lately the online dispute hasn't been working.

Wow, you very rarely hear about citibank canceling a card post-fact due to inquiries. That's kind of worrisome.

For the power bumpage approach, you could sign up for a million different services.

Oh, and then there's the high risk approach of freezing Equifax, asking them to review things, and then maybe they'll switch to a different bureau when Equifax is broken. I have a hunch that wouldn't work though.

I wouldn't want to try freezing EQ and then have them pull EX, which would be even worse. I think I might try disputing some of the inquiries by phone. I am starting to doubt that I will get the cards reinstated but I may as well try. Now I'm wondering what's going to happen to the TY points I had accumulated. I hope I don't lose them. I was just about at the $750 GC level.

Hmmm, a similar action has been taken against me(though I'm not certain if it's Inquiries that were specifically the cause for me yet as I haven't received the letter) though mine involved a large negative credit balance with my BT as well. Here's my post in my AOR thread on what has happened to me so far.
Seems like Citi's tightening their screws a bit.
