I'm looking to lease a 2008 Honda Accord LX 4 dr sedan for 3 years 15,000 miles per year. MSRP is $21795 but I can get it for $20,800. I have a trade in worth $4000 and the Tax, Title and License comes out to $1250. I also know the approximate value of the car after 3 years will be $11,850. What I would like to know is what is the "residual value percent" and is it now calculated on the price I'm paying after the trade-in is subtracted from the $20,800 I would be paying for the car. Also, would like to know the "Money Factor" and what my likely monthly payment would be. Plus are there any more hidden costs I should be worried about.
Thank you for any help I can get here, this is my first time leasing.

Seems like you should be able to get an Accord for less than $1000 below msrp. I thought those things sell for invoice?

i leased a Honda Accord in 1997 - biggest mistake of my life. Don't do it. Buy a used Honda and never lease a vehicle. My experience with American Honda Finance and Honda Dealers in general was a total and complete nightmare. They are really good at ripping off ignorant people, which I was at that time. I paid way more for the car at the end of the lease b/c I couldn't afford the extra "OVER MILEAGE" fees due at lease turn-in and ended up having to purchase the vehicle at the lease expiration b/c I had been pre approved by American Honda Finance and I was broke and in debt. The lease was a big waste of money and a learning experience on WHAT NOT TO DO.
