Has anyone been able to verify what constitutes a direct deposit? Do they consider an ACH push from another bank a direct deposit?

The setup process for this bank was the most confusing I've never had the pleasure to deal with.

But I finally got it to work the other day and now I get to earn 5% on my AOR money with the 10 year note at only 4%.

Hi all, I'm a lurker finally posting. I plan on getting into AORs later this year. For now I am just trying to set up a high-yield savings for guaranteed investment inbetween my fund trading.

I completed the online app for this account back on Feb. 4. I have yet to receive any feedback from my application, and when I login to the application online, it states the decision is still pending.

Folks here cited that signing up for the online access will expedite the process, however, signing up for the online account requires a letter with account numbers from the original application I completed. I've not received any letters from OneUnited yet (and I'm in the same county).

Only yesterday did I attempt to contact them. Sent an email (no response yet) and a phone call (but of course it was a holiday).

How flippin' annoying!

So I got ahold of them. The first person disconnected me or put me on hold with no warning when I said I was pulling up my application ID. I'm glad the 2nd person helped me out.

It turns out I have the same issue as someone above me with my address not verifying and they want proof sent to them. Nice of them to let me know! Now I have to send them proof of address....

I've sent them proof of address three times. Now I'd like to cancel my application, b/c I'm sick of dealing with them, but I can't get a hold of anyone to do that. So I'm guessing that when I finally assume I'm safe, they'll withdraw the original $1000 deposit from my checking account, which no longer will have it.

I didn't even think about that. I'm trying to close my WAMU checking account this weekend (they literally stole money from me, only $120, but still!) because my direct deposit payroll will be established with my new Wells Fargo checking.

Fack.

Maybe I should just quit with OneUnited already while I'm "ahead."

2 weeks after they made trial deposits into my funding account, they still had not withdrawn the opening $1k or sent me verification that my account was opened. I called them today, first the number for online registration. She said that my account was not opened, my application was being held, and that I would have to call customer service. I called a couple times to avoid leaving a voicemail (who knows how long that would have taken to hear back), and talked to a lady who said that my application must have stalled because my license number had two lower-case letters. Come on now. She said she would fix it and open my account. I received 3 emails today, one of which confirming my opening deposit withdrawal and that my online account should be active within 3 days. With my luck, I'll get a week of the 5+% rate, just like I did with SBoT...

For the rate chasers:
Provident Direct here is 4.5%APR - No Min.

$5000 max outgoing has been lifted as well.

I just completed my 3rd month of $1 Paypal deposits last Friday. Haven't seen the bonus yet. Per the terms here, they have 15 days after the 3rd consecutive DD to credit the bonus. I will be calling them if it doesn't show up.
