I got a 500 bank Atlantic card My TU is beautiful now with a 767 FICO and no baddies. I was denied a CLI on NOV. 15 07 (I still had a baddy from 6 1/2 years ago)
Heres my question, Should I CLI again with my new perfect score. Or should I close it and reapply, What will give me a better chance at a high credit line? I've alread lost 4 months of my 0% offer.
They gave me a juny card in Sept and used that as an excuse to deny my CLI request (suffient credit with juny) so I closed the 2,000 personal juny.
So close and REapply or CLI or apply for a different juny BIZ card.

If you're willing to send them financials, I would CLI. Make sure you speak to the credit dept directly, not regular customer service. Look in the "credit card issuer faq" for the number.

You might want to make sure that you can still do the BT with no fee. Often issuers will restrict it to doing it in the first 90 days (but I don't think Bank Atlantic does this). I would close it and reapply if you are not going to reapply for at least 3 months (and then request a large BT on the application, which will help you get a bigger line). To be honest, I doubt you are going to get a great line with them given that they will know you've previously had a $500 limit. Even if they do CLI you, if they give you a CLI to $2,000, that is already 400% increase, but still not really worth the effort of doing an AOR with given a $75 fee max and lower savigns yields these days.

Agreed not worth it, but like I said. I was hoping the new 767 fico would over ride that 500 + 400% increase thing. But you may be right.
If I close it do I have to wait 90 days? I know some get away with it with Advanta, close then reapply like the next day. I think THISGUY did that.
My financial are like SCMs and just look like a mess or a real business. God forbid I should look like a real business.

Well I froze TU last night, my experian has been frozen. I applied for a CLI for my 500 bank atlantic biz card, they pulled EQ! They have always pulled TU for me on the last 8 apps or CLIs.
500------> 20,000
I was applying for other cards and thought I'd hit them up and then dispute the INQ, it worked like a charm even thou I had 2 INQ already from yesterday.
