They both came on the same day in different envelopes. I just requested another check on the website (still $0 BT fee and 0% until 12 months after your initial BT request if you do within 90 days) Yes, you can do it online. Just click on the BT link, and it shows you the offer, you accept, and then you can put up to 4 creditors. At the bottom, there is a textbox you can put the amount you want sent as a check to yourself. |

For those curious about setting up payments for the Associated Bank Visa card, it's apparently treated as a Citibank Credit Card. See here and previous posts in that thread. |

I just called the # on the Associated Bank card. Sorry, no Citi Divident Platinum Select, I have only had a PremierPass, UPromise (Rolled PP into this one), and now this one (rolled UPromise into this one)
Some reps are rather clueless abouut this, mine had to put me on hold for 20 seconds and ask someone else (I assume), but then got it done a minute later. You might just want to call back and try again. just a question regarding consolidating credit lines. i was approved for this card (15k), and want to consolidate with a citi card with a 8k CL, but also with a 2k balance. how does the consolidation in this case work? i'm gonna guess that i would only be able to move around 5k? and also, consolidation does not change BT promotions for associated bank, correct? |

I can't give you a definite answer on the first part, but I'd assume the 2k won't count in the 0% offer, so you'll be paying on the 0% first if you do that. I'm not sure how keen they are on consolidating partial CLs now, she basically told me that I'd have to close my UPrommise card, there was no partial way. The BT promos aren't changed, my BT fee still said zero and the terms still said 12 months after first BT when I did my BT after consolidating. |

I just wanted to summarize my experience with applying for this credit card for anyone that is undecided or is new to this balance transfer/checks stuff (like I was when I applied): 1. Applied for credit card online 2. Got approved for $20,000 and requested a check for $19,000 3. In 1 week, I received 4 envelopes from Associated Bank - letter saying that I was approved for the credit card and that I should receive it shortly - letter saying that I will receive my $19,000 check shortly - new credit card - check for $19,000 made out to me (check is from Citibank) 4. I called the customer service number to activate my card and to double check and tripple check about the fees associated with the balance transfer. I was told (and reasurred a couple of times after my multiple questions) that: - there is no fee whatsoever for cashing the $19,000 check - there will be no finance charges (0% APR) if the $19,000 is paid off in full by the end of the 12 months - there WILL BE minimum monthly payments on the $19,000 which are 1.5% of the total balance. |

Is your checking account already enrolled in the TY Network and what are the qualifying banking activities? I wonder if this is a targeted promo or if anyone with a citi checking and ultimate savings account can participate... |

I wonder if this is a targeted promo or if anyone with a citi checking and ultimate savings account can participate... It's open to all (first time customers) in Norcal at least. I thought about it - but $25,000 @ 3% interest for at least 6 months plus other requirements (like checking, direct deposit or bill pay, etc.) makes it only a marginally good deal. |
