Citi has been closing accounts due to too many inquiries. Did any one have their accounts closed? |

yes, Citi closed this card (and 2 others) due to them seeing too many inquiries as part of an AOR. let me warn you all as well that they not only closed the card-- they cancelled the BT check even after it was on deposit for 7+ days (in a Citibank checking account). See my post in the Citibank A/A thread for more info. |

Although Vectra (you have to be a resident of their area to be approved) doesn't give high a CL, and will only BT to a creditor (not a bank account), the terms did say this: "GET 0% APR ON PURCHASES AND BALANCE TRANSFERS FOR YOUR FIRST TWEVLE MONTHS." The current offer is for six months. But 0% on purchases is notable. |

FYI: Although 2 reps told me that after I consolidated this card in to my Diamond preferred card that my 12 month 0% BT terms would still be honored, they tried to screw me. They basically said that the Diamond's terms are the valid terms. Bah, took some yelling and transferring but I'm good to go now. Consolidator beware! |

I just bit the bullet and closed my older Citi cards to consolidate into this Associated Bank one, it seemed a lot easier than going through the hoops. I have done three consolidations with Citi so far, two into this card, and my 0% has still been honored. I'm honestly surprised. My last one was a Citi Divident Platinum, and was during my activation call (the rep had to transfer me, but they did it within a minute) That last one was just to see if they would allow me to apply for a new card, roll it into my AB card, and request another BT check for 89% + the amounts of my payment so far. The check is in the mail! I was thinking of repeating that again, but since seeing the "Severe Adverse Action" post, I'll call it a day and just sit back and collect the interest until Jan 29th when the 0% period is over. Plus, they only gave me a $4,200 limit on the last card, so it's really not worth it... |

See my post in the Citibank A/A thread for more info. This could spell bad news for me. When logging in to check my account I have a $0 balance. Yet the BT check cleared my bank account and the funds are available. Can they reverse the transaction? If so I'll be in a negative balance since I transferred the money already. |

It's probably too late on fri. but it would have been good to use etrade or countrywide savings to quick transfer some money back into the account...if the account didnt go negative....the worst you get is a 10 dollar return check fee...I would still get money in there and then call your bank to work on getting some the fees removed...I have an overdraft on my one account that I deposit bt checks...

For people who have had their Citi BT reversed, did you also get your cards closed down. Also, what does it say when you go to this page after logging in https://www.accountonline.com/BTHistory or https://www.accountonline.com/BusBTHistory for business cards. Thanks in advance. |

FYI - Just got a notice today from Citibank about this card. Key point: they are now charging a 3% balance transfer fee with no maximum. They also added a ton of other fees (late, over limit, overseas, etc.) Letter says that these changes are effective as of all billing periods beginning on or after May 3, 2008. Looks like it won't effect anyone who has already pulled the trigger, but maybe something to watch out for. |

I just registered with FatWallet just so I could come here and post a THANK YOU to the original poster for posting about this card. Since 2002 I've been using 0% cards for excess college expenses for one of my sons. I'd get a 12 - 15 month 0% card, never paying any kind of fee, and when one offer would expire I'd just get a new card and do a balance transfer. My current 0% card (Chase) runs out in June 2008 and I hadn't been able to find another 12 month card that didn't have a Balance Transfer Fee. All the card offers I get in the mail have a BT fee of 3%, although some have a limit. I really didn't want to pay a fee, it's just part of winning the game of the 0% offers! I applied for the Associated Bank card online yesterday (4/28/08) and today I called to check the status and I've been approved for $15,000. I only need about $7000 of that. I should see the card in 7-10 days. My son graduated in 2006 and here I am, still paying this off. Hopefully, I'll get this tackled in the next 12 months and won't need another 0% in when this one ends. THANK YOU to OP. |

haha Citi-1, FW-0. How come Citi never close any of my CC? It could save me some times. AOR is officially dead. FW is bust. Back to the soup kitchen, people! While I dream and think up of new ways. |

The link still says No balance transfer fee so you think up till May 3rd it will be the same and then change to 3%? I wanted to wait a little longer till I applied. |

I'd go ahead and apply.
They can't charge you a balance transfer fee after you've already done the balance transfer.
Take a screenshot of the link I posted in OP. It will provide documentation if for some reason you need it.

I have yet to receive anything about changing of BT terms. AND, the site still says 0 fees. It looks like this was an isolated incident. |

I received the notice from Citi re: balance transfer fees, but my sense was is only for regular balance transfers & does not affect promotional offers (such as the one we all signed up under). At least, that is going to be my argument next February when I go to make a BT at 0% with no fee. |

thanks OP just got approved for CL of 20K I'm trying to move 25K over from Premier Pass... we'll see if that goes through or spooks them... would be nice to pull out 45K for 12 months at 0% Also, my card says nothing about a transaction fee that someone described above, in fact it says NO BT fee and confirmed this by phone also. |
