I did okay on my business AOR ($111k in new credit, and $132k in balance transfers)
This time I'm going for personal cards. For some reason, I went insane, and decided to apply to as many cards as I could find. My goal: 1) Build as much credit with the same bank (Citi, Chase, etc.) 2) As much BT money as possible. 3) As much $$ from CardSelection.com (CS)
Age: 23
Stated HHI: $150k
~7 year credit history, Oldest card ~4 years (Providian, now WAMU)

Citibank Dividend Platinum Select...Personal...$30k (CLR $29k to CitiBusiness from AOR 1.0, ended up w/ $30k back on card)

Providian/WAMU Platinum.............Personal...$12kTotal..........................................$43k (0% utilization)*Note: Also have 11 Business Cards (see Business AOR 1.0) which won't show up on my CR

Your going to get to many personal cards, if you have a chance move as much as you can to business lines. Read jericons thread, lots of A/A after 20 new accounts in 12 months.
Good luck

I think with part 1, you may have done way too many Chase apps. I've always gotten errors when doing more than 1 chase app at a time (Cookie error - Already applied) This is even when I try a cobranded first USA card, or a biz card. When resetting the cookies and doing it manually, I get letters saying only 1 app allowed, etc.
I'd reccomend adding your biz apps into one thread. I don't see too many 40+ AoRs anymore. You also could have hit up some other banks.

yeah... i stopped at 20 last night, but i just got AOR crazy and kept applying for Chase cards (roboform egged me on)... thru CS, it gave me that error, but i would close my browser, relogin, and it was all good.
i think i won't activate the lines that are less than $5000, and just b* as many inquiries as possible, and hold on to my butt...
any suggests to avoid A/A's?

15 Chase apps? Be sure to post results. I'm sure it will be amusing.
Not activating a new card doesn't matter, it still shows up on your credit report.

Maybe, but don't do it unless you're absolutely sure they they are going to take adverse action on your accounts.
Ditto - I had five and consolidated them down to one-$81K line. I'm going to reapply for the four I closed with the same Sole-P and with a new S-Corp plus add in about 10-15 more Chase and other biz cards. It's almost queued up - hope to launch next week.

So how many INQ so far? Was there any ryme or reason to your apps, or did you just pick a bunch of apps?
Ditto on the great format!
If you could,,,, pay close attention to each cards comments. It would be nice to know which chase don't see each other.

Call Chase now and say you had some kind of automated appliation program error.

I think you need to try 1 at a time, I've had the best success with BofA, but my last attempt with BofA biz didn't work they just sent me a 2.9% so I took it. I think it's hit and miss, you just have to keep trying.

I wouldn't worry about it, I think if they don't do it right then just tell them forget it. I've had a hard time doing it also, some here do it without a problem.
I'm going to try telling them I've got a large purchase I need to make and I need it available right now, not next week or month. I've read here that it works. Of course if you call and get a CSR that has to go to the bathroom or lunch or home, they aren't going to do what you want. Thats why you have to keep trying.

Regarding reallocations, I had no problem with Chase and BoA. Citi was another story. AMEX is easy obviously since you can do it online.
Regarding consolidations, Chase offered to do it but I wanted to keep my old line open. BoA offered as well but I chose to reallocated. Citi didn't offer.

i actually had no problems w/ citi... (see my business AOR thread). i actually ended up w/ an extra $29k in credit!
i really scared about adverse action (win333's got me all scared)... should i be scared to call chase to reallocate lines to business once they see that i have $46.8k in BT and 97.5% on my business cc's; as well as 15 new (let's say i'm approved for all) personal chase cc's?
has anybody ever attempted CLR/CLC through online messaging systems? is that just insane?
p.s. nat city called me today... should i call 'em back immediately (i'm a damn busy guy), or wait till saturday?

From what I recall, Chase will only do 1 realloc per day. If this is still true, you have about 2 weeks worth of phone calls to make. Please someone else correct me if I'm wrong on this.
As far as CLR/CLC through online messaging, it is certainly worth a try but I would venture to guess they would probably say "for security reasons you have to call...etc....etc"
Good luck to you

Not a good strategy. Not much of any strategy at all, actually. There are useful threads around which tell you max number of apps per issuer. Beyond that, you are just collecting hard inquiries on your reports for no good reason.

Damn I leave for an hour and look what happens
Hey don't kill the messenger, Jaricon will tell you about A/A eugeneV and others. I don't make the rules, I only exploite them. But I'm sure you won't get 15 new chase accounts, on the slim chance you do. I would be happy doing 1 CLR per day, but chase took 3 weeks to do mine.
Can you make a big payment to your 97.5% card so you don't look like your drownding? you are going to BT again anyway, online message sounds interesting let us know how it goes.
1 Year ago I CLRed easy with citi, now the didn't budge. I didn't try real hard.

Umm... I've asked Providian before (i think through online messaging or phone), and they stated that the score is a more of a revolving credit worthiness score... i really doubt my real score was 832 due to my pm123 and other scores being so drastically lower directly after my business AOR.
*update: actually, if you look at the picture i uploaded, it ranges from 300-850+... maybe it is a real score? who knows...
EugeneV said: But 832?? Hmmm... Is there anything important that you forgot to mention about your circumstances? what could i forget to mention? i have PERFECT credit: no missed payments, low revolving balances (i pay off my cards once a week), etc... I paid off student loan of $8k (paid off in full 6 months after graduation), 13 accounts total, 10 cancelled, 3 active.
am i a statistical anomoly?

I dunno, but this is the highest score I have ever seen. It is updated monthly and shown with a delay, I think.

Any update? Keep us informed maybe we can help, before you make a mistake.
I've been thinking about the A/A scare, Instead of having 20 new personal accounts and freakin out CHASE and others. I would move the Credit lines to business and CLOSE the new accounts. So 20 new Closed accounts might not cause A/A ????????
Have you called the chase APP status line?
LMAO the recording might take 20 minutes to tell you the status of each app.
It would be interesting if only 1/2 of your apps were on the recording, hint hint.
Chase has the BEST app status line that I've found.

ohhhh man hold on! I'll post the number.
1-800-346-5538
Make sure you count and keep track of how many apps are on it, I think it had 4 of mine. That way you won't have to call and talk to someone.

Chase did the same thing to me a couple months ago. First, they closed all my personal accs (6 of em), afterwards, they also closed all my business accs (3). It only took a couple days in between. Beware!
