Terms & Conditions

Eligibility:
To participate in this offer, SkyMiles member must register online between January 10, 2008 and March 15, 2008.

Offer:
Earn up to 25,000 bonus miles. Earn bonus miles (in addition to normal bonus miles) in the following increments for each level of unique partner activities between January 15, 2008 and March 15, 2008, up to a maximum of 25,000 bonus miles. 3 unique partner activities = 3,000 bonus miles, 6 unique partner activities = 6,000 bonus miles, 12 unique partner activities = 12,000 bonus miles, 20 unique partner activities = 20,000 bonus miles, 25 unique partner activities = 25,000 bonus miles Only one activity per partner is allowed, only one Buy Miles activity is allowed, only one SkyRewards partner (e.g., SkyMall, LATHER, Organic Bouquet, Vinesse, Great American Days, Samsonite and Java City) activity is allowed, and only one SkyMiles Credit Card activity is allowed. These bonus miles are in addition to normal bonus miles offered by participating partners. Partner offers subject to the terms and conditions of each individual offer.

Unique Partner Activity:
A unique partner activity is defined as one partner activity or Delta Buy Miles purchase between January 10, 2008 and March 15, 2008. Note that only one mileage-earning hotel partner stay/activity with a partner hotel family will count regardless of the number of different hotel stays within the family. For example, multiple stays at different Hilton brands (e.g., Doubletree, Embassy Suites and Hilton Hotels) will count as only one eligible activity; however, normal bonus miles may still be earned as a result of such multiple activities. One stay/activity at different hotel families (e.g., Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental, Meliá, etc.) will each count as an eligible activity for the threshold bonus promotion. A Delta Buy Miles purchase and a partner points to miles conversion transaction are considered eligible unique activities. Miles earned for purchases using your domestic or international SkyMiles Credit Card count as one eligible activity. Converting hotel partner points to miles and a stay/activity with the same hotel partner do not count as two activities. Flight activity on Delta or partner airlines is not eligible for this promotion. Delta Gift Miles and Transfer Miles activities are not eligible for this promotion.

A couple things I have on list that I don't see on yours. Some might be from the same categories, but might be easier to accomplish depanding on individual circumstances:

Itunes music purchase through skymilesshopping

erewards

Couldn't you place a $1 order at any of the retail partners here? It seems like that would qualify.

My Ameriprise quote already fulfills that category (Dining, Retail & Other Partners). All activities under that count as one, I believe.

EDIT: I took a careful look, Ameriprise falls under a bunch of other promotions that's considered a duplicate, but not the ones you listed. Thanks!

Nice find, Azurik!

I am accumulating AA miles for overseas travel. I could get up to 10 skymiles vendors. Is there a
way to convert these skymiles to AA miles?

No way. It wouldn't really make sense, since the AA miles are arguably more valuable than Delta miles.

Anyway, nice find OP! When you say online Ameritrade, you don't mean the appointment with a consultant right? I can't seem to find another link than that...

Ameriprise you mean? That's one I did, and no, it's not the appointment one. This is the one where you get a free auto quote form them online and it qualifies as a unique activity!

Added Link to promotion to top of the Quick Summary. The URL in the initial post seems to be invalid.

Thanks, OP.

I'm probably going to reach and stop at either the 12 or 20 unique activity mark... 25 actvities is stretching it a bit for me since I'm not going to do any hotel hopping.

Ameriprise ran a Credit Check even though I did not provide SSN.

1) How do you know that they did?
2) Are you sure you did not do something "extra" that allowed them a hard pull (I presume that's what you mean by a credit check).
3) Which of the three bureaus did they ask for your credit report?

Thanks.

I'm looking for an easy way to get 3000 miles ... that is without spending any money. At the moment I have the following on my list (have not really done any of them):
1) Ameriprise quote
2) min SPG point exchange into Delta miles (what is the minimum?)
3) join FastBreak @ Budget (seems to generate a unique activity + an "extra" bonus of 1000 miles)

I see e-miles being mentioned above, but their "activity" will only post on Apr 1 (provided enough miles accumulated) -- do I miss something?

Also, any thought on what's going to happen with NWA and Delta FF programs when/if the two airlines merge?

linkified above ... or try this (two different links). I must also say that I have not yet read the T&C in all of its gory details, so I'm not sure if this qualifies as an "activity".

Alert from Identity Guard advised me of the activity. Nothing 'extra'. Experian.

As far as SPG points transfers, here're the rules: "Starwood Preferred Guests may transfer up to 99,999 Starpoints® into their Delta Air Lines account at a 1-to-1 ratio in increments of 32,000 or less. And for every 20,000 Starpoints transferred, members earn 5,000 bonus Starpoints that will be automatically added to their transfer. There is no minimum point transfer requirement for SPG Platinum members. SPG Gold members have a minimum point transfer of 1,500 Starpoints and SPG Preferred members have a minimum point transfer of 2,500."

I don't really get the "in increments of 32,000 or less" piece, but it looks like min. transfer for folks without any status (is this what "Preferred member" is?) the min is 2500 points. I'm suddenly not too sure that I want to do this ...

That link you provided in the previous post said "register by January 31, 2008" though...
