Anyone using AmboyDirect Maximizer account?

Just wondering if any of you have or have had experince with the Amboy Direct Maximizer account. Searching has turned up little in regards to user experinces. Are there any fee's to transfer money from your existing checking account into the Amboy account, I found the account detail information was specific. It said unlimited transfers into the account, and a limit of 3 or 4 transfers out of the account before fees would be charged, but it did not mention the cost if any of the unlimited transfers into the account.

Anyway if anyone has any comments, good or bad, I would love to hear them. Thanks.

hey schrute, if you're still interested, there are no fees to transfer money into the account. if i remember correctly, you can only set up the transfer FROM WITHIN Amboy's account page. You cannot push/pull from an external account. *i may or may not have gotten this last detail confused with my EmigrantDirect account*.

aside from this, the maximizer works fine. they don't have the prettiest account management screens. but rates are reasonably high (especially good for the first 6 months if you're an NJ resident), fast transfers.

the thing to watch out for is that if you have less than $1.00 in your account at month end, you will *NOT* get paid your accrued interest. so, always leave more than $1.

I actually got a call on my mobile the day after I transferred a large amount out. I thought they were going to harass me, but turns out to be a nice customer service rep who called to remind me of the $1 / interest accrual thing. I was extremely impressed. she saved me ~$175
