I opened an account on 2/20 and funded by ACH. The opening deposit still didn't show up. Did anyone else experience this?

Does ACH push from HSBC work too?

I just did it online. Deposited 50 to checking and 50 to savings. So do I just have to transfer money a few more times? Or do I have to set it up through work to deposit money into the account? Or can I set up my WAMU account to do it? Not sure what qualifies as direct deposit.

Gonna call tomorrow or the day after to cancel/make sure I don't get checks.

For those that have already opened accounts and funded from another bank account - how long did it take for your initial deposit to show up online? I opened my account on 2/21, and my online account appeared instantly with a 0 balance. Faxed signature card 2/22 and haven't heard/seen a thing since. Money hasn't left my funding bank account yet.

I called Chase last night and they couldn't tell me anything about my account, other than it's open and available for use. They had no information about the initial deposit. They have no record of a check order, and when they transferred me to Deluxe they also had no record of a check order for my account.

I'm thinking perhaps they got backlogged with a bunch of FWers applying for this account, but now I'm worried something is jacked up with my account.

I'd give it a couple more days, then call and speak with a supervisor.

So you guys think after 1 month of direct deposit that it'll be fine and free to close the account?

This is the only way to get a CSR that will let you cancel.

- Press 1 for English
- Press 3 for Order status
- Put in routing and account number
- Listen to the status - in process
- Press 0 for CSR
