Anyone know the amount of co-brand cards you can have with Elan? There are a ton of them out there with this offer.
Napoleon State Bank
Highland Bank

I don't think there is a limit, but most of these banks probably do not lend outside of their service area.

When I spoke to the Elan credit department about my app, I asked about how US Bank's relationships work with these smaller banks. She said US Bank is the lender, and all of the smaller banks are just using their name to market the cards. Bottom line, I don't think you have to be in the smaller bank's lending area - you just need to be in Elan's. For example, I'm not sure why a tiny Texas bank (Woodforest) would lend to someone in Virginia. I could be wrong, and it's probably a good idea to verify before you apply.

That Cowboys card is awesome. However, no one will be looking at it in my sock drawer.

I looked for 12months biz as well but did not find any, it seems elan has standard offer regardless of the brand, be it Main Source,Provident or Credit Union(why would they even offer business cards for teachers)

I will keep looking though

Will the BT offer let you send a check to your self? Or do you have to have a ballance on an other card that you want to pay down?

FWIW, I called the customer service number on the back of my M&T business card and was told that they don't allow any reallocation or consolidation between 2 M&T cards or M&T and any other Elan business cards. The rep didn't know if it'd be better or not to close the existing business card before applying for a new one. He gave me the number for the Elan applications/credit department and said they might know which is the best way to proceed with an existing account.

Of course what I was told might be completely untrue, but I figured I'd report it anyway. I'd like to know how best to proceed before I apply for another Elan business card.

I could be wrong, but I think I remember this. The M&T Business card would only BT to another credit card and they only sent checks as of July 2007.

On a different note, I just noticed that when my wife applied for the Baylor personal card in August of 2007, I requested a $24.5K BT on the app and she received a $25K credit limit. It was the only line that she received from her 17 card AOR that was over $15K other than $35K from PenFed. Coincidence?
