"No Balance Transfer Fees for balances transferred with this application Thereafter: 3.00% of the transaction amount, $5.00 minimum"From my DW AOR2008: The USBank Linux card is supposed to charge a fee for BT's not included on the application. I read somewhere here that the fee can be avoided for up to 30 days. To be certain I received a promotional BT-Free code via ecorrespondence. Text of messages follow:
ME:I'd like to request another balance transfer. I would like to pay my auto loan off. I didn't include the loan in my original application. Would there still be a balance transfer fee? THEM:Account Ending in: 7130 Dear Mrs Jackcrawfish: Good morning Mrs J and thank you for contacting U.S. Bancorp Service Center, Inc. via our website. We appreciate your interest in requesting to process more Balance Transfers. To receive 0% for 12 months with no transfer fee, please use promotional code 45248. You have two options on the website to find the request form for a balance transfer: go online...blah blah blah... |

A data point: I had an USB Business card as part of last year's rolling AOR (25k) limit, it was paid off last spring. Since it appeared that USBank did not allow any kind of CLI I went ahead and closed the card a month ago. No retention offer of any kind was made. I recently applied for one of the personal cards listed in the QS to transfer the last of my rapidly dwindling BT money. USBank did me a solid and provided a card with the same 25k limit as was on the closed business card, I just completed my BT with the promotional terms (I did not ask for a BT at the time of application). I do appreciate the lack of BS at US Bank. |

I do appreciate the lack of BS at US Bank. You are a rare exception to the rule, BobbyRobert. Congratulations! I am encouraged by your success with them. |

Anyone have multiple US Bank personal accounts? I've been taking advantage of 15k BT, but wonder if they'd provide a similar credit limit for another application? Just looking to avoid a hard pull for <$5k... |

Just looking to avoid a hard pull for <$5k... Yes, I have. Last April, I had 10K in Linux card. Then I got 19K in Baylor Card. Eventually US Bank closed the linux card. Even though I had a positive experience with them, some things have changed in the financial realm since April. |

applied for the Linux platinum but didn't get a decision right away. I hope that's not a bad sign. I did go thru the BT process. |

Just submitted my application and didn't get an instant approval. Should I call them or should I just want for their letter to arrive? Which number should I call? |
