Didn't see this posted anywhere, but when I looked at the Linux Fund card tonight (which used to be no fee) it had a 3% BT fee w/ $75 cap... haven't checked the others.

Check the PBR card. It's still no fee with BTs on the application.

PBR CARD:
No Balance Transfer Fees for balances transferred with this application

but I walked the app process till "submit" still did not see a place I can enter a card and amount for BT. What gives?

Pull the trigger, you'll get your chance to ask after you hit the submit.

nm. saw the prior posts.

Thanks for the tip. Do you happen to know how long does it take for usbank to pay the other card? My last leg of 0% on the other is due paying off in 20 days.

I linked to the 0 FEE linux yesterday and now my link doesn't work, maybe the offer is gone.

lhendricks92 said:I asked about reallocation, and the analyst said I would have to fax docs to CLI the Woodforest card. She understood I wanted to reallocate, but perhaps they have a max line on a single card without docs. I faxed personal asset statements. I'm usually happy to provide docs, as I suspect this a good antidote for adverse action. We'll see what happens....Today I received a call saying underwriting has approved my reallocation. My new Woodforest CL is now $50K. I immediately did another $20K BT and was assured there would be no fee.

Reallocation appears to be a YMMV situation. My wife has a new Elan CTC biz card at 15K, and 2 older Elan cards (Woodforest and M&T) each with 15K. She asked to consolidate all 45K onto the CTC card. Rep said she would need to fax business tax returns to create a single line that high. We are happy to send asset statements, but tax returns are too invasive and too much trouble. She might send bank and brokerage statements anyway to see what happens. Nothing to lose.

One more note with Elan and US Bank...

Based on several data points, I would recommend calling to request BTs rather than using the website. (This assumes you didn't request a BT with the application.) I've had at least 2 online requests be rejected for "incomplete information," and if they are accepted, they take about a week to actually get processed (plus another week for mailing time.) When I've called, the requests have appeared on the website the next day.

And, as I've noted before, the reps have no problem sending your BT to any "creditor" with an account number. I've sent US Bank BTs to USAA savings and PenFed savings without incident.

Another Data Point:
Regarding my 3 applications for Business Credit Cards last month, I finally got my rejection letter regarding the Woodforest card I applied for (I was accepted for 2 other Biz cards) and the reason given was
"-Already has maximum number of requested products"
so looks like Elan has a limit of only allowing 2 Business Credit Cards altogether or potentially 2 applications done within a certain time.

Looks like the 0% no fee BT is back. I jumped on it this time since I didn't know how long it would last. $12K initial CL. Transferred to two credit union cards (WSECU and Penfed), more than my current balances -- credit unions generally just stick any overpayment in the member savings account, that's what I'm hoping for at least.

Can you list which elan cards you have and which ones you got turned down for?

They have a bunch of cards, you just can't apply for the ones that are serviced by the same system. The only way to figure it out is if we compare the cards by name.

I'm sure we can have more than 2 elan card. Just which ones?

33 personal and 16 biz in the QS.

I got approved for 2 Usbank cards last month, 1 SoleP, 1 LLC and M&T in Jan (I think), First nation bank (personal)
and first national Biz (SoleP).

Maybe I'm wrong but that is 5 Elan cards in about 5 months.

unless 1st national bank of Omoha is different? it's confusing.

FNB Omaha is not Elan; see the CC issuer FAQ

I couldn't find anything; found out by email and then more detail via snail mail.

Did my A0R on 3/26 with 4 BTs to US Bank Linux - Chase, Citi x2, and Lowes (GE). BTs showed posted on 4/2 on US Bank website. Chase received payment - trans date 4/5, post date 4/6. Citi and Lowes haven't showed payment yet.

9 business days minimum, IME. You should be good with 20 days.

Applied 4/2. Called the # on the app webpage on 4/8. Was told to call another # (800-???-1444, don't remember). Rep said it has been approved with 15K CL, the BT request of 8.7K was processed and check would be mailed out 4/11. The other card due is 4/22 so it should be fine.

I just got my new card in the mail today (personal, CL $10k). If I apply for another one right now (business, or personal), what are my chances for getting approved for another $10k? If I understand correctly, all these cards are from the same bank (US Bank)?

I'm surprised and disappointed the initial CL was so low.
