Has anyone gotten their Credit Karma score http://www.creditkarma.com/ AND compared it to their Credit Report Card score at Credit.com? http://www.credit.com/

They're both free, thankfully.

Mine aren't close.

Looks like it's a similar biz model. Free brings in the traffic, and the cross sell funds the cost of the reports and scores. I like the Credit report card better because it actually give some summary of the credit data. Karma just gives the score which is kinda useless without the context.

Check out the score range of the credit report card score.... 300-850, sound familiar? Have we just found the loophole we've been looking for?

Did you search?

not exactly a repost, as OP is also asking about the Credit Report Card at credit.com.

Can you get your report every day? If so, what CRA do they pull? Always looking for more free b* services.

It looks like they pull TU. I can't see how to get a new report though.

Yeah, it does look like it's a TU report. I got mine and here is the small print...

"This report card was pulled on 02/26/2008. Your Report Card will expire after 90-days.

Your Credit Report Card uses real credit data from the credit bureau, TransUnion, and an authentic credit score. This data is not estimated."

I wonder what they mean by "an authentic score"

It looks like every 90 days

They use your real credit data to come up with there score. It is not a FICO but it is real even if nobody else uses it.

I agree, I like the credit report card better... it at least gives a summary.

alert mods

Check out the score range though. Isn't 300-850 the Fico range? Maybe it is a Fico score.

This is more helpful than credit Karma. I like the scorecard feature.

This is better than CreditKarma. It seems they pulled report from TU.
I pulled my annual TU credit report (today) after I use credit report card (yesterday), they are exactly matched. But the strange thing is I did not see any pulls related to credit report card, either hard or soft. Anybody has similar experience?

Unless I'm mistaken, the scorecard tells you whether you're "Excellent," "Very Good", etc. (from a range) instead of giving you an actual number, unless you upgrade (for a fee) to the full report?

Other than that, very informative especially the analysis and breakdown of different categories.

thanks OP. I had problem with verification in Credit Karma but am fine with Credit Report. Don't both of them use TU?

very useful tool. I do get a C in Inquiry part but I have only 1 inquiry for the past 1 year!

TU doesn't keep your address very good at all, my address is (P O box XXXXX), TU has it as (XXXXX P O BOX).

Someone else had a problem and after figuring out how their address is listed on TU they were able to pull their score from CreditKarma.

Using B*, I was able to B* my address off of my TU. So their system isn't vrey good,,,,, Better for us

not exact score but you can guess pretty well with the slidebar on top.

you're right. I just look at my report card closely and notice this "xxx box po xxx" which is even more ridiculous than yours. It also seems the verification process of Report Card is more lenient, since I put in my home address for verification but my TU report has that weird PO thing.

My TU has your example as my previous address I think a 12 year old wrote their program in the 80's.

I also looked at my wife's report. Her residential address is the combo of 2 worlds - XXX + current residential address with typo + po box + YYY, where XXX is current PO box number and YYY is former box number! I guess they don't completely erase the old entry when you update your new address. Rather they just pick a random place to insert the update!
