I agree, I've been smooth sailing since I started last November. I've been trying to fly under the radar, but have only been making the minimum payments. I haven't had one call, CL cut, or oddity. I even have a $40k (95% CL) BT (business) at Chase, who seemed to be the root of all the A/A threads. |

I'm more curious than anything else to see what happens. As I laid out in the OP, I decided to dial up the aggressiveness factor in this A0R. I basically set up parameters for what I'll do based on my reading of others' A0Rs and my own risk tolerance level. I am following my plan and will take any A/A in stride. So far there has been nothing, but the real BT carnage hasn't yet hit my credit reports. I would expect A/A in a month or so at the earliest. 2Cor521 |

How did you list your biz in 411? Did it cost anything? I'm trying to find the cheapest way to use my cell phones for my business and not get a landline. What have you used? AT&T was screwin me royal, so I disconected my 2 land lines and need cheap replacements. |

win333, I listed myself using a service I found on FWF somewhere...I thought it was you who gave a name of a service. I want to say it was called "ListYourself" or something. The listing process was free but I haven't checked to see if it was successful. Since I am a sole proprietor I just registered my personal cell phone number as the business number. This is consistent with what I list on business CC applications. For cheap cell phone service I like T-Mob!le To Go. I have two of them. 2Cor521 |

2Cor521 I tried listityourself and I don't think it's working, I was wondering if you had something else. In my area I have cricket, $60 a month for unlimited local and long distance anytime. Just trying to find the cheapest way to get listed. I'm sure if I called 411 they might charge a nominal fee, I'll keep looking at the moment. I'm getting ready for my LLC AOR. Thanks |

7, 8, 9 - Chase co-branded -- Not a peep from these folks yet. Maybe they take longer to do the co-branded cards In my June '07 credit seeking binge, I applied for the BP Visa, the LaSalle MC, and a CLI on a Chase Visa. I received instant approval for the Visa. For the MC, I received an e-mail within minutes stating, "Thank you for submitting an application. We will notify you of your approval status in 30 days by U.S. Mail. In the meantime, please refrain from submitting any additional applications. We will only be able to consider your first application." I figured it was a deferral/denial. Two weeks later both cards showed up. CLI was denied. I hope this helps. Good luck. |

The status line tells me I have four apps submitted on March 4, 2008, and that I'll have a decision in 7-10 business days. I did call in tonight and get two other numbers for the Chase business and Chase personal credit analysts who from the sounds of it will be able to give me a decision. 2Cor521 |

2Cor521 As you know, I submitted my apps the morning after you, on March 5. On March 13, I got decisions on all 4 Chase cards I applied for - 2 cards and 2 letters in the mail on the same day. As I mentioned in my A0R thread, I was approved for both biz cards and denied for both personal cards (Sony and United Mileage). The reasons for denial were "too many inquiries" and "too many credit or loan accounts opened recently". Both reasons seemed odd since they did one inquiry on the day I did the A0R and the same day most of the other CC companies did their inquiries...and my wife only had 1 inquiry total going into the A0R. Hopefully you'll have better success. |

2Cor, What method did you use to pull out BT money from the following cards: Chase, Bank Atlantic, National City Spring, WAMU, Advanta I was going to either use a few of those cards to finance my new Citi checking / savings for the 40k TY points. Or I was going to do normal BT's with those cards to my CITI or BOFA card. Thanks for the help and I really based my AOR off yours. |

T+18 01:44:00 My credit score remains the same for ten days in a row now. Probably five or six new accounts have shown up, but no new inquiries have shown up and none of the BT balances have shown up yet. Interestingly enough, neither has my new PenFed mortgage, so I'm going on about three weeks where I have a mortgage but the CRA's don't think I have a mortgage. (My first payment is due April 10th.) USAA also still thinks I have a HELOC.
I tried to work on A0R stuff today but didn't get very far today because most banks are only open in the mornings on Saturdays, and many are on Eastern or Central Time. I live in Idaho and am a night owl, so this works against me. Phase 2 Interesting News:
1,2 - USBank cards -- I talked to the new applications department (800.947.1444) and they said that the new Baylor Card has been approved but it needs to go through some sort of identity verification process, so I'll need to call back during the work week to push that along. 4-9 - Chase cards -- I am beginning to hear back from Chase. I've received a couple of approvals on the AMA Platinum Visa and the UPS Capital Visa for $10K each. I've also received three letters saying they can't figure out who I am: "In evaluating each application, one of our top priorities is to ensure that the named applicant is in fact the person applying for credit." They're asking for proof of current address, a photocopy of my Social Security Card, and my date of birth. Since I haven't seen my Social Security card in decades, I'm going to try to call them -- again, weekdays only -- and find a different way of proving that I am me. I also have a letter saying I was approved for a MasterCard from them for $15,000 and a declination letter as well, but it's sort of like playing sudoku trying to match up the letters with the cards I applied for. Oh well, it will all sort itself out soon. Other than that, approvals continue to roll in and I continue to track things. I'm at 24 of 37 cards approved, and my total credit, including existing credit, now stands at 44 cards and $794,800. Phase 2A BT Interesting News:
BT season has started in earnest. I have $65,318 in already completed BTs and $199,481 total BTs in progress. BT3.1 - AM3X IN:NYC -- Not a peep from these folks. They have mailed a paper check to USAA, and it's still in process. The other paper check (from the WA.MU ESPN card) took about two weeks to show up at USAA. I'll just leave this alone for now. My credit lines remain mysteriously high with them. BT10.1 - CitiBusiness -- I haven't started this one yet, but I did CLR this card up to $47,500 without any problems, and will BT on it soon. BT18.1 - BofA NEA WorldPoints Visa -- Probably the best BT experience I ever had. I talked with Jason, who's a UGA student in Atlanta and a BofA CSR. He reallocated all of my new and existing credit to this card (card #18 on the list), leaving just $100 on the other cards to keep them open for now. He then proceeded to process a $40K BT as an ACH deposit into my checking account. Even though I received two calls from the fraud department about the BT, the money was in my checking account in 3 days. Very nice! BT28.1 - Wells Fargo Visa -- Deposited a BT check that came with the card into my local checking account, as previously noted. BT36.1 - WA.MU ESPN -- They originally BT'ed $14,500 on a $15,000 line. Even though I appreciated their generosity, I have paid this down to $13,499 to keep to my 89.99% standard. Phase 2B CC 1P/Bonuses Interesting News:
10, 11 - CitiBusiness 1P -> 15K TYP x2 -- I've made and paid off my first purchases here. Phase 3 Interesting News:
TDA - TDAmeritrade -- I'm going to try to get the $1,100 in bonuses mentioned in another FWF thread here, but I need to wait until Monday. b0 - Provident Bank -- I don't know if anyone would call it adverse action, but I did receive a letter from these folks saying they couldn't open an account for me because of my ChexSystems record. I'm not sure what's wrong with my ChexSystems record, so I went ahead and requested a free copy from their website at www.consumerdebit.com. It's like your credit report; if you've been denied a banking account because of ChexSystems you get a free copy. I'm guessing the problem is that I've opened about 9 new bank accounts in the past two weeks. b1 - Alliant CU -- I discovered that Alliant has a $10K per day limit on any transactions you initiate into them. A CSR I spoke to said that they were not able to process any larger amounts verbally. But I did find a sort of workaround as I was trying to get the $40K from BofA (see BT18.1 above) deployed into savings: You can schedule transfers for different days. So I scheduled four different $10K transfers on 3/23, 3/24, 3/25, and 3/26. Phase 4 Interesting News:
k1b - Chase personal checking -- Two interesting things of note here. First, I received the $125 bonus even though I hadn't done any direct deposit activity yet (it was on my list to set up, I just hadn't gotten around to it yet). Second, I scheduled an ACH transfer from this Chase checking account to my USAA checking account for cash flow reasons and was dinged a $3 fee. I'm going to call and request that it be refunded, even though it's in their schedule of fees if you go look. k3 - Chase business checking -- Still no progress here. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to be able to open this account? Chase says they don't offer business accounts in Idaho. Phase 5 News:
CLI6 - FNBO Visa -- I submitted documents and am awaiting their decision. In other news, my beloved Broncos lost in the first round of the big dance. Sob.

Thanks for the help and I really based my AOR off yours. narbi, I'm noting my progress and BT methodologies in the Quick Summary (see Phase 2A), so you can always check there. Of the cards you listed though, I requested a $30K BT with my National City application which was not processed because it was greater than the $12.5K CL they issued. I plan to call 800.762.0974 to request a higher CL and then depending on how that and my (#23) Quilter's Reward application turn out, I will try to CLI, consolidate the two cards -- they're both issued by National City -- and then BT from there. I also requested a $30K BT with app on the WAMU card. They gave me a $15K line and a $14.5K BT that I sent to my USAA debit card and the money ended up in my checking account. Basically my methodology is to have a list of preferred BT methods before I talk to the CSR about a BT, and then I make an on the fly decision about how I want to do the BT. I just checked and I have seven different ways I can handle a BT, sorted in priority order based on researching FWF. I would suggest you do likewise for your situation. I prefer ACH directly into checking (which BofA did for me and is apparently typical of them), or a BT check if they provide one (like I did with Wells Fargo). If those two aren't options, I like giving them my USAA debit card and then they end up mailing a check which shows up in my checking account. This method is slower but works and doesn't cause any alarm bells to go off at the CC companies. Finally, I have also initiated some BT activity both to a previously existing Citi card and my USAA credit card. I will then request a credit balance (in the case of Citi) or a cash advance (in the case of USAA), which will get the money to my checking account. I don't know how those will turn out yet because they're still in progress. Good luck, and thanks for the kind words. 2Cor521 |

Almost $800k in credit? You know, if money market rates drop too low, you could always just buy a small country. I would be moderately cautious about jacking USAA around with credit balances. They have been known to freak out and freeze accounts. I don't know the precise formula. (I was able to do one credit balance/cash advance with my USAA card with no adverse action) Also, I just reread the OP. How do you have credit reporting since you were 10 years old? |
