We all know about Chase, Citi, Cap 1, Discover, and AM3X. It would be great to have a list of business cards from small(er) banks in one thread. As it stands now on FW, you have to go through hundreds of pages of babble to pluck out little gems of info. It's frustrating.
How about we compile a list of business card links?
Suggested Format (fill in the details you are able to):
Bank Name Underwriter (not necessarily the same as bank name) Credit Reporting Agency pulled {TU, Exp, EQ or None - (no Personal Guarantee, PG, needed)}. Decision Time to approval or denial. If denied, reason? Approved Credit Limit Balance Transfer Fee(?) APR on Balance Transfers Other Card Details
Where the card reports (if anywhere).
If you're feeling generous, the details of your business (length of time in business, DnB file, earnings, etc.)
Might be helpful to list lending areas and other restrictions for these smaller issuers. For example, Wachovia requires a deposit account to apply for a credit card.

I got a Wachovia Biz CC without any business deposit accounts. They even linked this CC to my personal debit card (without asking me!) for the rewards program.

To clarify - you need either a personal or business deposit account with Wachovia to apply for a credit card.

OK-- I think this is a great thread (green for OP) but will be even better if people who actually have one of these cards list a quick summary of their experiences.
I'll start.
Bank Atlantic
Issued by Barclay's Bank Pulled TU Decision took 10 days (Some approved instantly? YMMV) Approved for 50K Maximum BT 20K at a time (YMMV) Capped $75 BT fee 0% APR on Balance Transfers for 15 months 5% Cash Back with no earning limit** Earn up to 5% Cash Back when you purchase gasoline, office supplies, computer equipment, utilities, cell phones and internet services up to 1% on all other purchases
ETA-- No idea where they report. Nothing yet on personal or commercial CRs.
Advanta Pulled Experian personal & Eq Commercial Approval took 1 day (they called to verify info) Approved for 30K 0% for 15 months Max BT fee $50 No annual fee Automatically earn 5% Cash Back on gasoline, office supplies, utilities, computer equipment, cell phones and Internet services, and 1% on all other purchases. Great thread idea OP.
I added these 2 to the QS: Wells Fargo Wells Fargo requires a deposit account to apply for a credit card.
BB&T I also believe BB&T requires one to already have a deposit account to apply for a credit card.

I was able to open a BB&T biz card without a deposit account, but I had to make a branch visit.

Ah-- you reminded me about Wells Fargo.
That was actually my very first Business card. They kept sending me preapproved offers and I kept throwing them away. But- they got progressively better.
Finally I bit-- and I ended up with my sweetest card- a combo MC/ BLOC
The interesting thing is that I never had (and do not have now) a Wells Fargo Business bank account.
However-- I have done most of my personal banking there for over 16 years and deposit nice fat Business checks into my WF personal account every month like clockwork. (I also have PMA & Brokerage)
A live human must have been involved-- a person who reviewed my personal account, saw years of steady Biz check deposits (with my name on them) and said-- "Hey- let's give this girl a Business CC"
Wells Fargo has actually been very good to me. For a big(ish) bank they have exceptional personalized service.
LaJollaInvestor, can you reveal any more data for your two cards (scores,HHI or BizIncome)?
I applied with $210k HHI and scores were all over 730 avg (TrueCredit). I got: Bank Atlantic - $15k Advanta - $2.5k (seriously, $2,500 - my lowest CL ever except for HSBC gave me $500-1000 on a personal card once).
I am in process of requesting larger lines. Anyone know if Barclays will shift CL from personal cards to the Bank Atlantic Biz?

$2500 seems to be Advanta's new favorite initial CL. what a joke.
and, yes, Barclays will move personal credit to business. look for the credit dept number in the credit card issuer faq.

akanga said: already compiled list of business cardsVisa cards Wow, so this is a pretty extensive list but it's not completely up to date as for example it seems the amsouth link is old since it was bought/merged into Regions. Anyways here is the link to the 2 Business Credit Cards Regions offers, which appear to be offered by FIA/BoA and have uncapped BT fees. Also here's a comparable link for Mastercard's Business Card offerings. I'm going to try and at the least go through these 2 lists and add the relevant information to the QS valid Biz CC's and other details such as if there's another issuer behind it (like BoA for Regions and what looks like Elan on the Comerica Bank and Tri-Counties bank cards). I also put the QS in alphabetic order.

I was able to apply for Wachovia & Wells fargo biz cards w/o a deposit account. For wells, it required a branch visit. Wachovia did it over the phone.

Looks like Provident Bank has a business card(or 3 different offers) and it says it has a 6 month 0% APR offer but I believe it's only purchases and I don't see whether you can do balance transfers at all. State Farm too (says 0% on purchases for 6 months).

Interesting, were you approved? Wachovia let me apply (in person, no less), but the app was rejected because of "no prior relationship." The credit card underwriter told me I had to have a personal or business deposit account to get a business credit card.

ETA-- They report to EQ Commercial.
Sometimes you cant figure with these credit grantors. My business partner got the Bankatlantic card with a 25K line. I will probably apply on my next BIZ AOR. His scores were strong with very little utilization. I have cards with higher limits overall so it will be interesting on what I get for that card. AMEX Plat Business rewards gave him 50K. 50K is the max on most biz cards but as reported here that is a rarity. In fact I think lajolla is the first reported here to get the full 50K from Barclays. My partner got a Crap One biz card for 20K which was the max on that card.
FYI, I fixed the links for BB&T, Key and Wells Fargo in the QS.

PolarDude, was it a sizable line with WF, or it was like 5k?
I have 2 WF cards. First was pre-AOR days, for 50k, and it came with a 375k BLOC. I requested 45k BT in phone app from a mailed offer. I never had a bank account with them, but had a mortgage. I later got a 10k CL for a different biz, but had to fax docs. I'll probably cancel the cards before the next time around.

Or they have crappy personal credit, and thus non-PG biz credit is all they can get. Besides Donald Trump, who gets useful lines without a PG?

I have a "semi useful" one
Home Depot sent me a CC w/o a PG and just raised the limit to 15K.
Lowes also sent me a non PG card (would only raise to 5K)
ITA though. What difference does it really make since B cards don't report to personal anyways ?
I can't think of any genuine advantage.
ETA: Per my EQ C report my Chase card does not have a PG either. I was wondering why my initial limit was lower than others. It started at 15K and has increased to 18K now.
