Looks like Provident Bank has a business card(or 3 different offers) and it says it has a 6 month 0% APR offer but I believe it's only purchases and I don't see whether you can do balance transfers at all. State Farm too (says 0% on purchases for 6 months). |

PolarDude said:I was able to apply for Wachovia & Wells fargo biz cards w/o a deposit account. For wells, it required a branch visit. Wachovia did it over the phone. Interesting, were you approved? Wachovia let me apply (in person, no less), but the app was rejected because of "no prior relationship." The credit card underwriter told me I had to have a personal or business deposit account to get a business credit card. |

LaJollaInvestor said:Ah-- you reminded me about Wells Fargo.
That was actually my very first Business card. They kept sending me preapproved offers and I kept throwing them away. But- they got progressively better.
Finally I bit-- and I ended up with my sweetest card- a combo MC/ BLOC
The interesting thing is that I never had (and do not have now) a Wells Fargo Business bank account.
However-- I have done most of my personal banking there for over 16 years and deposit nice fat Business checks into my WF personal account every month like clockwork. (I also have PMA & Brokerage)
A live human must have been involved-- a person who reviewed my personal account, saw years of steady Biz check deposits (with my name on them) and said-- "Hey- let's give this girl a Business CC"
Wells Fargo has actually been very good to me. For a big(ish) bank they have exceptional personalized service.
ETA-- They report to EQ Commercial. Sometimes you cant figure with these credit grantors. My business partner got the Bankatlantic card with a 25K line. I will probably apply on my next BIZ AOR. His scores were strong with very little utilization. I have cards with higher limits overall so it will be interesting on what I get for that card. AMEX Plat Business rewards gave him 50K. 50K is the max on most biz cards but as reported here that is a rarity. In fact I think lajolla is the first reported here to get the full 50K from Barclays. My partner got a Crap One biz card for 20K which was the max on that card. Rob |

I have 2 WF cards. First was pre-AOR days, for 50k, and it came with a 375k BLOC. I requested 45k BT in phone app from a mailed offer. I never had a bank account with them, but had a mortgage. I later got a 10k CL for a different biz, but had to fax docs. I'll probably cancel the cards before the next time around. |

Home Depot sent me a CC w/o a PG and just raised the limit to 15K. Lowes also sent me a non PG card (would only raise to 5K) ITA though. What difference does it really make since B cards don't report to personal anyways ? I can't think of any genuine advantage. ETA: Per my EQ C report my Chase card does not have a PG either. I was wondering why my initial limit was lower than others. It started at 15K and has increased to 18K now.
