yep..Alliant has BOTH methods available...the mail in method is called e deposits and the scanning method is e deposits plus I really missed not being with them, and in fact just applied to come back..i checked with them and they told me...no problem...I had some trouble with the online application this time around, so i mailed it in instead.....they will open it as soon as they receive it They were sooo nice when i spoke with them (as always)...... It's really one of the nicest CU's i had ever been with and it's just a great combination of a very nice online banking interface...nice bill pay...lots of FREE ATMs all over the country (75,000 through Allpoint and Coop) really excellent Customer Service and extremely competitive Savings Rates (one of the highest of the Cu's you will find anywhere)....yes..we understand they had to drop it because of the fed rate cuts, but they still remain very competitive and always have been |

SINIK, thanks for catching this. I recently just saw this option and didn't know about it. Thanks! Also a fyi about their ATM locator on their site. I went to withdraw funds from an atm which was identified to be fee free upon using their atm locator and I did get charged an atm fee. I didn't get an automatic refund within a few days, but I contacted the credit union via their online reimbursement form and a rep emailed me as well as reveres the atm fee. A small hiccup, but great customer service. |

Once you become Alliant member, how many months do you have to wait for them to give you Deposit Plus feature for your account?? They don't enable it as soon as you become member. There is certain waiting period. Does any one have any idea????

Alliant has a policy out of not being precipitous. I expect them to drop the rate not more than a quarter-point at a time, but they may continue doing that month after month. |

Welcome back!! I followed you (way back in times) first to Fidelity and then to Alliant CU just like people follow Oprah... But since I'm ok with not seeing my account balance from ATM and limited fee-free ATM, I did not follow your footstep to Schwab and E*trade despite your cheerleading for them. Glad to have you back. craig10x said:now i am back...i really missed them |

I contacted Alliant today since the eDeposit Plus feature was not working for me last night when I tried to test it out and supposedly the feature is only being rolled out to a few members at a time. After speaking to a rep the feature is now working. Definitely a nice feature! Also the rep had to look into why the feature was not working and had to research this issue. Upon resolving the issue, the rep actually called me back and this was within a matter of 15 minutes. Great customer service! |

I've noticed that I don't have the Deposit Plus option on my account. Are they rolling out this feature in stages, or simply offering it to certain customers, sort of like a beta test? |

They welcomed you back, craig? That's amazing. I thought for sure they would turn you down. I mean, I told them to never let you back. craig10x said:wesleman said:Welcome back!!

Thanks In fact they welcomed me back with open arms....even though i was a former member......i recently found a brokerage i liked even better then Schwab and Etrade, so i thought i would do a little tweaking with my banks accounts as well....i realized that by having Chase as my local (deposit convenience and branch services) along with Alliant CU for my day-to-day checking activities, i would have a nice high yield savings directly hooked up to it..not need to keep ach'ing in from other banks....thus making for a nice SIMPLE set-up.......I won't even need to use the Schwab bank account anymore since between access to all the free Chase atms plus COOP and ALLPOINT through Alliant CU...just really no need to get those atm rebates anymore |

As far as I can tell, this feature is for anyone with a checking account. A credit card doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. I have a savings account but not a checking account so I don't use this feature. |
