I've been lookin around online for a joint banking account to open with my son. Does anyone have any suggestions? (interest rates/sign up bonuses aren't needed, but they sure do help :-D)

Do you want an online bank or an accoount that you can access online? If the later then just goto your favorite bank and open a custodial account.

I was able to open up a bank acct with ingdirect with my 6 month old as the primary and me the secondary.

Interesting... I was able to open one up at INGDirect for my daughter when she was 6 months old but it was a savings account and CD, not a checking acct.

This is quite opposite to my experience.
ING took over Netbank and they closed all my custodial accounts & CDs.
Reason given: "ING does not support custodial accounts"

I am still looking to open custodial a/cs with another online bank.
