I need help with my Bank Atlantic Biz Card, I have been getting the runaround from them on why my BT didnt post. Here is the story, I applied for an account and got approved 15K CL, got my card and welcome package shortly after. Signed up for online banking and did a CL increase to 22.5K. Day after the CL increase I did an online BT to my Citi Home rewards card for 19.5K, citi CL is 3K. The BAnk Atlantic site showed BT Approved but it never posted either on BA or on Citi card. Called the BA CSR asked why it did not post, she told me she does not know and said it needs to be "investigated" and would take another 3-5 days and I would be contacted by phone. 5days go by and still nothing, i call again and speak to a manager, she assures me I will be contacted by someone within 24hrs, well 2 days go by and nothing???? I just fed up, did I do something wrong as far as the process??? I need this BT to pay down some AMEX 2.99 BT I did earlier but its been 3 weeks now since the original BT request????WTF
Anyone have something like this happen ??Please help

Yes, every company have a CEO. And no they are not part of HSBC.

The exact same thing happened to me. I just got a call from someone at BankAtlantic who did the 3-5 day investigation and she said the BT was refused by BOA for a bad account number and to try again. I am going to do that and see if the BT goes through.

slightly off-topic, but did you do the CLI online? If so, did you request 22.5k or more? And did they pull credit again? The online form says you authorize them to so I'm debating whether to try it or call a CSR. After hearing your experience I will do the BT over the phone after the CLI request.

I did the BT for 19.5 of the 22.5 CL, they have a limit of 20K per transaction I think. Yes I did it on-line and had no hard full.

Update I called again and they told me they tried to reach me and could not, BS. CSR told me that they could not find account or location of the other card meaning address. It was declined, so I did another BT over the phone and made sure they have the account and address of the citi card?? Dont know why they need that. its been really frustration so far with this card and service, ill see if and when the next BT goes through.???

I think vmaxer was asking if they did a hard pull when you asked for a credit limit increase.

I put in for a BT on my Bank Atlantic Biz card application. It also didn't go through and I got the same runaround from them. Their customer service reps seem really unknowledgeable and somewhat unprofessional (every time I called I could hear people laughing in the background). They had no clue what was going on or what had happened to my balance transfer. The transfer amount was much less than my credit line so it should have gone through with no issues. I waited a few weeks and gave up on trying to figure out exactly what happened.

I put in another BT to a different card from their website and it went through without a hitch. Hopefully I'll never need to deal with their customer service reps again.

When I inquired about my BT one of the reps said the BT was *mailed* on a certain date. That really had me worried.

I don't think that's anything to worry about.

Yep, I'm concerned if they like to hard pull for CLI.

No I did not get a hard pull from the CLI but this is a Biz card so Im not sure it would come up on my personal report. They pulled TU when I applied. I did the CLI on their website and got instant approval for 2.5K more than I asked for. I asked for 5K CLI and got 7.5K

If the BT amount hasn't been reflected in your Bank Atlantic available credit, I'd just call them up and have them do it again. I had a BT just not go through with them and believe I've read the same for others here.

I think you'll have a bigger problem trying to get that huge of a credit refund check from Citi after BT'ing to the Citi card that only has a 3k limit.

alert mods

I hope not, Citi card has a balance on it of about 2500, after BT I should have a 17K rebate check. I can always say that I added one two many zeros when I did the BT if Citi has a problem with it. Has anyone had issues getting rebate checks from Citi??

I had this happen to me when I tried to BT to a debit card.

Short answer - call up BA's customer service and demand that (1) a stop payment be placed on the BT (it'll take 5-10 biz days to clear), and (2) a refund of the BT fee.

Then have them reissue the BT, perhaps to another card.

Why it happens, I do not know - perhaps CSR incompetence, perhaps CSR thinking they completed the task, but didn't fully complete the non-BA end of the transaction, or ???
