Good find OP, but I'm not sure how this is different from the ESPN offer (and others.)
AFAIK, FICOs are available from most, if not all, WAMU cards.
Also realise that this is a credit card enhanced FICO, not the plain-jane one. They only pull once a month, and I'm pretty sure only from TU.
I have this card. I actually got it during my A0R just cause of the FICO score. My friend told me about it. When i spoke with WAMU's CSR, they said it pulls TU but my account is showing EX? I got the card 2/26/08 so I think I'll get an updated score 3/26/08. We'll see if it still posts "Bankcard FICO score provided by: Experian." I'll see the friend that introduced me to the card today. I'll check with him to see if he's getting it from EX or TU.
Can you get a free FICO for an authorized user on WAMU cards or just the primary cardmember?
Does the ESPN card also offer free FICO score?
thanks ![]()
Not sure about the ESPN card, but I think it does. No AU, only primary holder FICO.
Mine also says EX, and I think it's correct, my EX is always about 10-20 points lower than TU because of inquiries... My last EQ FICO was 762, and my WAMU FICO says 742.
Is everyone getting an Experian rather than TransUnion hard pull when applying for this card? My TU score is much higher than EXP...would be nice to have them pull TU if thats the case.

I got EX. 2/26, Minnesota. According to CB's "Credit Pulls" database, it looks like hit or miss, 55% TU, mostly EX in other cases, a few EQ sprinkeled in there. I'd say EX for the midwest, though, so depending on where you are... Or you can just freeze EX and go to town! That's what I will be doing after my mortgage closes... ![]()

I checked yesterday (3/18) and it still showed my February score. I checked this morning and it showed a March score.
By the way, don't take their suggestions about "why your score is this high/low" seriously. My score is "low" (over 800) because my credit history is "short" (my oldest card is at least 25 years old).
I have one of their cards with the free FICO through transunion. I also have all 3 credit bureau's updated through privacymatters. Anyways, privacy matters shows a full 150 points LESS than my fico score on WAMU. Based on what happened to my credit I'm pretty sure WAMU is wrong and by a hell of a lot. Something you may want to consider. Also, this has been going on for a year so it's not a case of WAMU just being a month behind privacymatters.
i have this card for 3 years, the cash reward pays out once a year.
yes, they do have the function that u can check ur credit score. u can check it many time as u want.
Yeps had an old providian paypal card that is now WA MU and that feature is about the only reason I keep this card (to seee my monthly score for free) as I never use the card because I'm not paying the lame 19.99% to hold a balance on it.

So you get a free FICO once a month and you can do daily FAKO pulls as well?
thanks op. Just apply and approved for $10K.
Did we ever figure out if this score is from TU, how do they claim it is FICO?

Thanks for all the info everyone. If what you say is true, then this really sucks. The app page specifically says "FICO" with the trademark plastered all over it, not some CRA FAKO. When you look at your score through their site, does it still say "FICO", or just "here's your numberish-like number"?
