You will most likely be denied. It is best to wait until the balance is paid off otherwise you will look desperate.

You should pay off your bills and live within your means. Borrowing more will simply make your situation worse. See IBJanky's famous thread

If you call they may have a pre approved figure calculated by their computer and may get lucky.

And to further answer, attracting attention with a high outstanding balance is asking for issues beyond simply getting denied for an increase. You limit could end up getting cut, or the account cloased completely.
