It's in the high interest rate savings thread, but there's not much discussion or first hand accounts. The current rate of 3.9% looks very good (I called yesterday to confirm that this is the current rate; long wait time, so either their customer service isn't generally good or there's a large number of people calling in).

With my own experience with Nationwide and other experiences that I have heard. I will not do business with Nationwide. They have the worst customer service. There're other banks that offer higher rate and FDIC insured.

I don't have an account with them, but for those concerned about financial institution health, Nationwide has the highest possible "Safe and Sound" rating from Bankrate.com (5 Stars - Superior). It's certainly the healthiest for an APY in that tier. But another complaint I hear about Nationwide is that the ACH is painfully slow, even for pushed deposits from other banks.
Got a mail last week from Nationwide. Open a new Money Market Savings account before 5/31/08 with $2500 minimum and maintain for 2 months and they'll give you $50 bonus.

I have an auto insurance with them (Nationwide Insurance) if anything at all.
Down to 3.65%.
