To follow up:
1. The card arrived about 10 business days after the application date. CL=$15K as shown online earlier.
2. BT checks (3 of them) in the welcome package came 2 days later. Welcome package also had rewards program info (which I didn't bother to read)
3. Card activation was fully automatic, there does not seem to be an option to talk to a live person even if one wanted to
4. Customer Service say that no CLI until after 6 months history with them

This does make sense (embarrassing that I did not think of it). I was just surprised given that Chase, BoA and Juniper had no trouble giving this business >20k lines. These lines were before the worst of the crunch hit.

Edit: Just got a 25k approval from elan business in the mail today. This wouldn't be fun if it all made sense.

I don't know if there ever was any (online app) to new customers, but when I applied in late Apr there were pretty much the same choices you see: online app for existing customers (e.g., checking account) and phone app for new customers.

I got a similar crappy credit line. No luck trying to get it raised.
They want 6 months of payment history first. FYI, I applied through the login
account. You should probably call to apply and you might get a better line.
