I've never dealt with Wachovia before, can anyone confirm that you can deposit the convenience checks into a personal checking account and they will count as a BT and not as a cash advance? TIA

Yes. * BUT * they MUST be payable to yourself. If they are payable to "CASH" then they WILL be a cash advance, according to my CSR and personal rep last year when I included them in my BT-arbitage. But, like I said, the check can be payable to yourself or anyone else.
Has anyone applied for both business and personal cards with success?
Also, when doing the personal application, I was asked "what do you want your credit limit to be?" Seemed kinda odd, I said 75K. Didn't think that was too crazy since Chase gave me 70K and I'm making more $ now. My application was sent to "review". Are others getting this question - what do you want your credit limit to be? I coulda said 1 million.
