I'm kind of iffy on the WAMU card. From what I can gather, taking up targeted offers with a BT results in a higher CL, but applying to them blind results in a smaller credit line. This is anecdotal and I'd love to hear contradictions, but it's all I have so far. Mix in some issues with requesting CLIs and it seems like a poor choice. There is, however, a "find my offer" thing on the site for existing customers. When I feed it my login info it offers 0% purch/BT for 6 months, 3% uncapped, and 9.99%-19.99% credit-dependent afterwards. I don't know how well it dishes out CL, seems a little iffy. |

I just did a mini-AOR (7 cards) yesterday with this card included. I got an instant $10,000 CL. As a comparison, I got $15,000 for Citi Associated and $15,000 for M&T Business. The other four were deferrals. |

Thanx! |

Hmmm... thinking with all the inquiry-driven adverse action at Citi of late it will behoove me to get rid of the EQ inqs ASAP post-AOR. |

Thanx! I've never been a WAMU customer and I didn't have a targeted offer (except several of the same one you received - 0% on purchases if I do a BT at regular rate - went in the shredder!). I got the link from SecondCor521's AOR. He applied for a bunch of cards with this one after 35 applications and got $15,000 approved instantly. Turns out they pull TU for me, so that was even better. Edit: No, I didn't do a BT with the application. I will probably do just under $5000 to be safe with my utilization. |

Very interesting. I've seen a few anecdotes with folks doing the minimum BT ($100) and getting $10K lines. Your experience suggests that maybe the junior-BT wasn't relevant in their cases. Very tough to compare FWF CL results to Creditboards tho... very tough. Very different credit profiles in most cases. Edit: Spooked by the Citi adverse action thread. Don't want to lose my existing lines. Going to roundcan at least 1 Citi app and maybe 2. May re-add WAMU to compensate (expect a TU pull), or may not. |

Odd... CCT and TC disagree on how many EQ inquiries I have. CCT says 1, TC says 2. Don't know what to make of that. |

win333 - was just reading up on Equifax's lock product, and it has the following: If I use Equifax Credit Report Control to lock my credit report, can any information, including new accounts, be posted to my Equifax credit report?
New accounts may still be reported to Equifax and posted to your credit file if a creditor opens an account utilizing a credit report from one of the other credit reporting agencies whose file you have not locked, if you grant access to a creditor by unlocking your Equifax credit report, or if an account is opened by a creditor with whom you already have a current account or relationship. This sounds to me like if I have a new creditor and I have all 3 reports locked up, the account with the new creditor won't be successfully posted on EQ. You read this the same way? |

Na, they still report! It will only stop new hard INQs from being put on your report. I've been freezing and unfreeze for a few months now. |

Does anybody know how Citi will respond if they try to pull EQ for an app but can't because it's frozen? |

I did 4 apps with EQ frozen and 2 apps with EQ unfrozen (I remembered it was frozen 1/2 way thru the AOR). I already have both cards in hand for the 2 unfrozen apps and no letters or nothing for the 4 apps yet.

No I haven't called, I figured it would just cause another pull. I'm B*ing like crazy trying to get the INQs off. Citi emailed me to give me a better offer than the cashreturns card , I was thinking it wouldn't cause another pull. They did pull again but it might have something to do with the 4 apps. I've B*ed 1 INQ since my apps, so maybe a few more days (unless I get choppage again) Then maybe I'll call. EDIT: I'm a bit skidish |

Can't blame you for playing it safe. I would too. How long has it been since the "frozen apps?" |

I missed chevy chase banks call today, so they approved me for 15K without me talking to them. Also got a letter from CRAP1, my 5K card is on the way. I don't like explaining 30 apps in a week |
