I'm going to hold on the Juniper personal - want to see what's going to come out of US Bank and Discover tomorrow. I may have to move my personal balance consolidations to the Juny side and would like to put the BTs in-app if it comes to that.

If I don't have answers on one of my personal BT consolidations tomorrow, I will pull the trigger on the Juniper personal regardless.

Gargh. Like several others, my EQ has been visited by April 16 choppage.

I just got approved for 10K on that card, I have a BankAtlantic biz card with 19K of 20K used. If they say no, then get'em next AOR.

Lucky you got it now, I starting getting B* then the choppage hit. Now I have to start all over, I would suggest you work quickly at it just in case next month they do it again.

I may just start to dispute my EQ INQ, funny thing after the EQ choppage my B* on TU stopped also. Not sure what thats all about, maybe this A.M. it will start back up.

Starting the day with a bang:

- Itching to pull the trigger on Juniper personal, but trying to hold still for US Bank or Discover.
- Discover has not finished processing yet.
- Not too interested in calling the US Bank Credit Ninja.
- Chase pulled TU this morning. Yippee!
- Chase ID Protect (www.chaseidprotect.com) is *not* updating. "New" report is dated yesterday. Could this be because EQ is locked?

alert mods

Automated status of Chase Business app has changed from "received" and will receive a response "within 14 days" to "being reviewed" and "7-10 business days."

Questions

(1) Does US Bank/Elan notify you by email when they've finished processing your app? Or do you have to wait for snail mail?
(2) Does Juniper give higher CL if you have a BT on the app? Wasn't able to tell from my review of AOR threads. Or would you just pull the trigger without the BT at this point?

(1) I hadn't heard anything on the Baylor card, by email or snail mail, 13 days (9th business day) after my wife's A0R. So, she called and found out that she was approved that day.
(2) In all of my investigation, I don't remember reading that a BT on the Juniper app helps. My wife and I were approved for exactly the same CL ($15k) for the I Fly card.

That's all I needed to hear. Pulling the trigger on the IFly... updates in 10 mins...

Holy Damn!

Congratulations, you have been approved for your

I Fly America Platinum Visa with a Credit Line of $20,000.00

That's the last time I sit on my butt contemplating!

And instant online access to boot!

Looks like that omelette is turning out pretty good.

BTW, I saw you commented on potential A/A a few posts up. I experienced and read about (for devildoc) A/A for the Juniper card in the form of reducing my CL. However, it was fixed by calling, talking to their credit department and faxing in proof of assets (e.g. bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover all outstanding balances). Just something to remember for future reference.

Cool. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, this omelette is working out, no mess to speak of yet! Thanks to both you & markkundinger on the Juniper advice.

Doin' a touchdown dance... yeah yeah ba-bee yeah...

Note that devildoc is rich, so that might help things.

This thread at Creditboards suggests that there is no such thing as an instant approval at National City, but will find out in 6-7 days if I was approved via arrival of the card in the mail.

I had to wait for snail mail from US Bank to figure out that I was rejected. I got an email the day after A0R stating:

Thank you for your interest in the Select Rewards Visa(R) Platinum Card.

We were unable to approve your application based on the information you provided. You will receive additional information on your application request via U.S. Mail in 7-10 days.

Got a letter 7 days after A0R stating I was declined and the reason was maximum credit already extended, since I was approved for $18.5K on the US Bank Linux.

I could never find a link to check app status and never tried to call.

True, but I just provided them my bank statement where all of my BT funds were sitting. I had even explained to the credit ninja beforehand why my balances where high, i.e. taking advantage of 0% BT offers and parking the money in HYSAs. I proposed showing him that I had sufficient funds to pay back my balances and he said that would work...and it did.

ALL balances or just the Juniper balances?

Their concern was based on the high balances showing my personal credit report, which they checked about 6 months after my A0R...and I didn't have a Juniper business card at the time.

Ah. Got it.

Credit monitoring weirdness guys:

- Chase ID Protection won't update my report. Acts like it's updating, but re-displays yesterday's report.
- PM123 went through the motions of reporting, and then redisplayed yesterday's report (and won't let me update until tomorrow, just to twist the knife).
- TrueCredit updated OK, but yesterdays TU inquiries from Juniper and Discover vanished.
- Credit Check Total agrees with TrueCredit in re: TU.

Any thoughts? Maybe I pulled Chase ID Protect a few too many times yesterday and ticked off TU?
