I got this offer in the mail but it was unclear as to whether or not the points could be used for something other than plane tickets. Anyone know the answer?

Do each of your "businesses" have separate TINs? Did you have to provide proof (articles of incorporation, etc.)? I have an EIN for a home business that didn't go anywhere.....wondering if I can use that for a 2nd AMEX card?

Sole props. No TIN required. Each biz had a unique name.

Ever sell anything on eBay? Ever have a garage sale? You're in business. Who says that your business has to ever have had any sales at all?

People tend to treat AMEX biz (or any biz card) with kid gloves... don't. It's a high-profit product for AMEX. They want you to have it - they'd love to sell you the recurring membership. Fatwalleters find ways to get the better deal here, but the vast majority of their other customers don't. So, take as much as they'll give.

I second that thought. The funding authorization paper says MC / Visa only.

Does anyone know if savings bonds count as qualifying purchases?

I thought it was debated in a prior thread, but I can't remember when or where now.

(CONFIRMED) I called AMEX and CSR says that I can apply for this card. I told her I had this card before and canceled, she says no problem you can still qualify for this promotion again.

I haven't purchased any actually, I am just trying to think of a good way to quickly meet the $1000 requirement.
