The maximum 25,000 bonus points are available to first-time Basic Business Gold Rewards Cardmembers only; they are not available if you transfer an existing account.

Damn! Got this card last month

Did they ask you about your business? How "real" is your business? Primary means of income, or very part time thing?

Yes. But why would you do that? You get more flexibility keeping them as Membership Rewards points.

So you can use them with other miles to get a decent ticket. What good are MR points if you don't use them. It's not like they are an appreciating asset.

>>The bonus 25,000 Membership Rewards points may be redeemed for one coach, domestic round-trip airline ticket.

I rarely travel, so I can redeem the bonus points for other things such as gift cards?
TIA

I asked the exact same question and got a great answer on the last page.

Might want to hit that mysterious "Previous" button.

I have to pay off my 6 month BT in 3 weeks and when it reflects on my account I will probably take advantage of this offer, but if it is Experian they pull from I will probably be denied with 25 inquires even though half are about a year and half old.

I was approved and I have 23 inquires with Experian! Go for it!

What is best way to avoid the $125 annual fee after the first "free" 12 months? The AMEX Simply Cash business card has no annual fee, plus the True Earnings Costco card has no annual fee. Can you sort of roll the Gold Business over or do you just cancel the card? (I didn't see the answer in the big credit card finance FAQ)

You just cancel it. It is a charge card, so it does not have a listed limit that you could merge. Also, since it is a business card, it should not show up on your credit score.

begore canceling, call and ask for a retention bonus, then cancel after you get the bonus. they will give at a minimum $25.

Any idea if you can get the points if you are not a first time Basic Business Gold Rewards Card member. Had a business gold card which I cancelled a few months back, running in to the 3rd year of the card. Would love to get back in w/o a membership fee.

based on personal history (I've gotten in on similar deals on 2 personal and 2 business Gold cards over the last couple years), I'd say yes you can get in on this deal.

I signed up for this deal and already received the card. Now to find somewhere to spend $1000....

Can I transfer these 25,000 points into my United Mileague Plus miles? Thanks,

Applied on Monday through the link given, received the card tonight, but it is not the quoted bonus package. It is 5k First purchase, 5k 20,000 purchase, 20k 50,000 purchase.

I will be calling AMEX shortly and will update.

Don't think so, at least it's not on the MR redemption website. Might have something to do with Chase having the UA MP Visa.

Received my card and called to activate. Confirmed the bonus 20,000 points offer. Just read the Meijer flyer and they are offering $30 off coupon for every $300 in gift cards that you buy (This is the tax rebate check offer that many stores are offering). So planning to buy $1000 worth of Meijer gift cards.
