Nice OP. I need to travel soon!

How soon? It took me 10 weeks to get my last bonus.

If I did this deal 16 months ago, can I sign up again?

Well .. 3 months!

if i did this deal a year ago, and just cancelled, i probably can do it again.

Yep!

I'm going to wait and see how it turns out for the other churners before I take the gamble. Hehe. Keep us updated!

Does anyone know which reporting agency these guys pull from? I have to pay off my 6 month BT in 3 weeks and when it reflects on my account I will probably take advantage of this offer, but if it is Experian they pull from I will probably be denied with 25 inquires even though half are about a year and half old.

sounds good!

It depends on where you live. Check out the credit pull database on creditboards to see what others have reported.

Hope this helps someone:

I received a postal mail offer from American Express yesterday.

50,000 points = Two rountrip tickets (48 states), if I accepted the Platinum Personal Card, and make a purchase of any size. $450 annual fee.

I already have the Business Platinum Card, so this offer doesn't help me. It seems like a good deal if someone was already considering getting the Personal Platinum Card.

It appears to be a targeted offer (there's an R.S.V.P. # at the top). However, maybe you could get the same offer by calling and asking?

AFAIK, AMEX always pulls EX.

If anybody here got AMEX without an EX pull, please post your state and the name of the CRA that was pulled. I'm in Michigan, and it's been EX all the way for AMEX and Discover for me.

After you paid for the membership fee, can you get a partial refund when you cancel the card?

I don't know how you can get this special link. IF I go to AmericanExpress.com and find the business rewards card, I can't see this limited time offer.

If you end up paying the annual fee of 450, that is like paying for the second ticket and then some because of taxes and fees added on at your expense. Had any experience with getting them to waive this?

Here is the question? Does anyone know for sure without calling AMEX, if you have had this card before, that you qualify for the points again. The wording sounds like the answer is no.

Ohh man, what a deal. I already have an AMEX Gold Biz card. I wonder if they will let me have another?

Last time around I got 4 for each of my, ahem, businesses, and so did my wife. Eight cards between us. No problems.

One per business, but how many businesses do you have?

I got this offer in the mail but it was unclear as to whether or not the points could be used for something other than plane tickets. Anyone know the answer?

Do each of your "businesses" have separate TINs? Did you have to provide proof (articles of incorporation, etc.)? I have an EIN for a home business that didn't go anywhere.....wondering if I can use that for a 2nd AMEX card?

Sole props. No TIN required. Each biz had a unique name.

Ever sell anything on eBay? Ever have a garage sale? You're in business. Who says that your business has to ever have had any sales at all?

People tend to treat AMEX biz (or any biz card) with kid gloves... don't. It's a high-profit product for AMEX. They want you to have it - they'd love to sell you the recurring membership. Fatwalleters find ways to get the better deal here, but the vast majority of their other customers don't. So, take as much as they'll give.

I second that thought. The funding authorization paper says MC / Visa only.

Bad tip, buddy, sorry.

Thanks OP, these are always great deals!!!!!

Does anyone know if savings bonds count as qualifying purchases?

I thought it was debated in a prior thread, but I can't remember when or where now.

.

They quit allowing the purchasing of savings bonds thru credit cards years ago. You cant do this thru the Fed. So where are you buying bonds with credit cards if you are

(CONFIRMED) I called AMEX and CSR says that I can apply for this card. I told her I had this card before and canceled, she says no problem you can still qualify for this promotion again.

Can I transfer these 25,000k miles after I receive them to my SkyMiles account?

I haven't purchased any actually, I am just trying to think of a good way to quickly meet the $1000 requirement.

Depending on the way they interpret the T&C you may not be able to get this bonus unless you are applying for this card for the first time
The maximum 25,000 bonus points are available to first-time Basic Business Gold Rewards Cardmembers only; they are not available if you transfer an existing account.
