What online bank don't check credit? Why do they check credit for opening an account? Archived From: Finance

Hi,
I'm new here and reading some posts and researching best rate for online banks.
I heard that certain bank check(pull) soft or hard credit check. I'm interested in opening online savings or MMA. Why would they check my credit and also what bank do/don't check credit when opening an account?
