I was wondering if anyone here on FW was NOT getting a tax rebate and if so why?

Why so much red? I don't think people understand the point of this topic... I am essentially trying to get an idea of how many people on FW make a lot of money vs. people who don't make enough...

So again who here isn't getting a tax rebate and why?

I think the people who arent getting one are those who didnt pay any taxes or made under 6 or 7k last year. Or people over 75k individually and 150 for couples. Google it if you want a better answer and try to understand the tax code...goodluck

Alas, I have been boned. How much was a couple supposed to get anyway?

I got a postcard in the mail saying I didn't submit the original UPC, so, no rebate for me

None for me because of income.

None for me - my parents still claim me as a dependent while I'm in school.

Same here. No check for me. They laughed when I asked for my $300.

Based on this, I have the same question as the OP... which of us are fantastically rich?

Same here. Kind of a ripoff, I'm 20 so they don't get the bonus for a child yet they still support me. I paid taxes last year but get none back because of my status. I hope they give me my $300 tho . Alas, no law can be perfect. Although, I am glad my Grandparents are getting some money back.

Oh cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones, it bones for thee!

aren't we taxed on this income? it seems like a dumb thing to do since it will waste so much money to dole out. i'll pay back the measly money at the stupid high tax bracket rate i'm in already.

quite possibly it could push my AGI over some limits and cost me money. can you deny this incentive? I'd be real pissed if my AGI went into the next tax bracket because of this money i did not ask for.
