I'm preparing to do my 2nd AOR. The first one was this time last year (4/23 to be exact) and was fairly successful, netting me about $85k in personal credit and $60k for two businesses.

I'm hoping to get at least $150k in new biz credit this go around.

Current Credit Scores:

TrueCredit:
TU: 762 / 0 inqs
Exp: 723 / 17 inqs
Eqfx: 782 / 0 inqs

Credit Karma: 864

Credit Secure:
TU: 799
Exp: 778
Eqfx: 799

I have frozen Experian and am going to try to avoid having to get any inquiries to exp. I need another 6-8 months for exp inqs to drop off and get my score up in the 750ish range.

Besides the personal cards below the only other thing that shows on my reports is a $258k mortgage loan.
Salary is $126,000 + $120,000 other HHI

Current Cards: $Limit/Balance

Personal:

AMEX – Blue $15.5k/$0
AMEX – BofA $14k/$0
BofA - Platinum Rewards Visa $24k/$0
BofA – Platinum Plus Mastercard $24.8k/$0
Chase - Free Cash Rwrds Visa $10k/$0
Chase - Platinum Mstrcard $9.5k/$0
Citi - Dividend Plat. Select Mstrcard $8k/$0
Citi - Professional Cash Mstrcard $7.5k/$0
Discover Miles $8k/0
Citifinancial Retail Services $3k/$0
HSBC/Saks 5th Ave $8.8k/$0

***Right now what’s on my current credit report is about $3k of total balances dispersed over those cards above. No card has more than $1k showing on it. I’ll probably wait a few more days to let some more of that update to reflect the actual $0 balances they all have right now.

B, Inc: 1yr old

These are the cards I think I’m going to go for at this point. Because I own 100% and 40% of these two companies respectively I think I’m just going to focus on them first, then depending on the success rate I may move forward with the other co’s too. But, either way, I will have a partner get some apps for the other companies so I’ll input that data and although it won’t be the best data to determine how many of each issuer you can get with the same SS# of a guarantor and various EINs… it will tell us what the specific limitations based on EINs are.

New Applications:

My goal is to get as much 0% APR BT money as possible. It’s sort of annoying that some of these are less than 12 months but I can still take advantage of that and can just work on paying those off by BTing to some of the 12mo cards once they’re paid back down a bit by that point. I did add a few cards that are purchase only 0% as I can find some creative ways to get cash out and can use them for business expenses to conserve actual cash.

V, Inc:

Bank Atlantic Biz | Barclays (Juniper?) | 0% for 15 mo, $75 max on BT. CL up to $50k
Visa® Business Platinum with No Hassle Cash | Cap1 | 0% for 12 mo on purchases CL up to $20k
CitiBusiness® Card | Citi | 0% for 12 mo, $50 max on BT.
American Express SimplyCash® Business Credit Card | AMEX | 0% for 6, 9 or 12 mo on purchases
Blue for Business | AMEX | 0% for up to 15 mo? only on purchases
Discover® Business Card | Discover | 0% for 12 mo, $75 max on BT.
Chase Platinum Visa® Business Card | Chase | 0% for up to 12 mo, $99 max on BT.
FNBO Business Edition Visa Card | FNBO | 0% for 6 mo only on purchases
Chevy Chase Bank® - Platinum Business Card | Chase | 0% for 12 mo, $75 max on BT. CL up to $25k
Elan Visa® Platinum Business Rewards Card | Elan | 0% for 6mo, $75 max on BT. CL up to $25k

A2, LLC:

Platinum Plus® Business Rewards MasterCard | BofA | 0% for 9 mo, $? max on BT.
Power Rewards™ Platinum Visa® Business Credit Card | BofA | 0% for 9 mo, $? max on BT.
Alaska Airlines Visa® Business Credit Car | BofA | 0% for 9 mo, $? max on BT.
US Airways® Visa® Business Credit Card | BofA | 0% for 9 mo, $? max on BT.
GM Business Card World MasterCard | Chase | 0% for 12 mo, $99 max on BT.
Chase Business Cash Rewards Visa® Card | Chase | 0% for 12 mo, $99 max on BT.
Chase Business Rebate Card | Chase | 0% for 12 mo, $99 max on BT.
Platinum Business FreedomPass Credit Card | AMEX | 0% for 12 mo only on purchases
Advanta Platinum BusinessCard with Rewards | Advanta | 0% for 15 mo, $90 max on BT.
Discover® Business Miles Card | Discover | 0% for 12 mo, $75 max on BT.
US Airways Dividend Miles Business Card | Barclays | 0% for 6 mo, $75 max on BT. Up to $50k CL
MasterCard BusinessCard® Card | HSBC | 0% for 6 mo, $50 max on BT. Up to $25k CL

The first apparent questions I’d love to get feedback on are what order I should do these in and whether since I’m only going for eqfx and tu inquiries I should just apply for these in small groups of 5, and between each batch quickly dispute and try bumping. I could probably accomplish all of it in 5-6 weeks.

I’d appreciate any other recommendations of course and thanks in advance!

P.S. Some of my facts on issuers may be off... but more specifically the max CLs I listed were conservative in some cases. For example if it said "for above 25K we will request documentation" then I just put max CL $25k.

***********************Update 5/14/08********************

I started yesterday early morning.

V, Inc:
1. Barclay's Bank Atlantic Biz - instant approval $25k (I requested a $6.5k and $6k BT during app)
2. CitiBusiness® Card - deferred | Denied - Too many recent inquiries. Huh, there was only 1 for the Barclay's Card!
3. AMEX Blue for Business - nothing happened... just looped
4. Chevy Chase Bank® - Platinum Business Card - nothing happened... just looped
5. Discover® Business Card - nothing happened... just looped
6. BofA Businesss Platinum Card - Pulled exp, denied
7. Cap1 Visa® Business Platinum with No Hassle Cash - nothing happened... just looped (I should have froze my TU or EQ for this too but was lazy/eager after no other instant approvals.

A2, LLC
1. Chase GM Business Card World MasterCard - Deferred
2. BofA WorldPoints® Rewards for Business MasterCard® Card - Deferred
3. Advanta Platinum BusinessCard with Rewards - Deferred with email below. Update: Only 1 biz Advanta per SSN#. No go.
4. Barclay's US Airways Dividend Miles Business Card - Deferred
5. Citi BusinessCard Mastercard with Thank You Network - Deferred | Denied only 1 CitiBusiness app per 90 days.

Personal
1. Citi Premier Pass - Deferred

CreditKarma: 875 > 855
Credit Secure: EQ 799 > 791 | TU 799 > 787
TC: EQ 784 > 782 | TU 762 > 756

* Tried an M&T Elan card at some point, can't remember what order thought it was very late overall. Denied by what seemed like it trying to pull exp however the last TU inquiry I got was from Elan Finance so it looks like it did pull and maybe denied because of the 5 earlier inquiries?

I was assuming all the endless "processing" meant that it was trying to pull my frozen experian report and just timed-out. However, today, I had 1 new EQ inquiry and 6 new TU inquiries.

Here are the inquiries that are showing as of 1am 5/14. They are in reverse order, meaning the EQ Chase Bank one appears as the latest on my report and the Barclay's TU was first. So, 15 apps total and 7 inquiries resulted. Oddly no Cap1 so I'm thinking maybe that one really did just freeze.

EQ:
Chase Bank - National Credit Card Cos.

TU:
Elan Finance - Banks and S&Ls
Citi - Credit card and travel / entertainment companies
Chase - Banks and S&Ls
Advanta Bank - Banks and S&Ls
Citi/CBSB - Banks and S&Ls
BarclysBankDE - Banks and S&Ls

***Advanta emailed tonight basically saying they knew I already have an established account but I could call in to discuss the card I applied for's benefits. Sort of gives the impression they would swap cards but didn't say that flat out. Annoying because this is for a different business with unique EIN#. Both were registered with the same address but I input a different business address during the application so was hoping that would fly. Will call tomorrow and update as to the result.

Overall I'm not super enthusiastic but we'll see. I'm not surprised though as last time I did an AOR it was like 14/17 pulled experian thus the reason I froze it and have 15 inqs on there today. 12/15 are older than a year so I'm hoping I can unfreeze and pick up at least 3-5 choice cards where I know and can easily CLI to end up with ~$75k or so which, even if I get none of the cards besides the Barclay's will make this a reasonable success in my eyes.

Will update tomorrow. Now preparing to figure out how to get the money out!

I don't know who will pull EQ or TU for you, so i'm assuming you know. I would do MANY more CITI and CHASE biz apps, the CITI trio is well known on credit boards. If you get the accesorize page then you continue on to the next app.

Citi biz with or without TYP.
CITI PP biz (if you can find it)
Citi A/A biz card.

I got: Chase biz (green), chase UPS and Chase Professional all in a 30 day period. 41K no questions asked.

BofA- When she called me, we talked BLA BLA BLA approved 30K, later she called back about my other 3 apps. So she must not have seen the apps at the time of my call BUT she was the person approving them. With that experience in mind, I think I would scale back on the # of apps or maybe space them out during the day. Maybe you can get different people handling each app.

Either way, I would find MANY more biz cards in general to apply for. Just do the 3 Favorites 1st, Chase, CITI and BofA.

I've been doing the rolling Biz AOR for 6 months now, I do a few personal apps every few months. I'm up to 11 new personal accounts within the last 12 months. But in Sept that will drop in half and I can go for more new personal accounts.

With a good score JUNY personal is still handing out money like candy

USBank-(my cup runith over) considering they were a new creditor to me a few months ago. I have 2 biz cards for each of my businesses.

Elan- the same thing.

I do think I would do apps for 1 biz, B* and then do the next biz. Cap1 only lets you do 1 app every 45 days. So I'll do 1 app every 46 days until I die You can freeze your Experian and your EQ and only let CRAP1 pull your TU if you want.

My AOR has gone great for me, but I screwed it up pretty good. I had my EQ frozen for 5 CITI apps before I realized I forgot to unfreeze it (YUK). I didn't get any of my Chase biz/personal cards, but I did get a chevy chase personal.

I'll just B* and hit them up in a few months with 0 balances that they can see.

Sorry the post is so long, but that info is important to me. I hope it is for you.

CITI associated bank card seems like an easy 25K for most people

My EQ was frozen, so I blew it this time around.

Win,

Do you think I should go for the A2, LLC biz that has no biz credit file or should I go for the V, Inc that has a DUNS # (not sure of paydex score though) and 1 card reporting according to experian biz report with about 90% utilization?

Question that is a little off-topic:

When you apply for business credit cards from a company, let's say BofA, all three of your biz applications shouldn't be for cards with 0% offers, correct? Because you want to leave at least one of the cards that traditionally always has a 0% offer open so that you can apply for it 9 months down the road so you can do a balance transfer on it right? Because if you apply for all the 0% offers now, then you won't have any new cards to apply for with that company when it comes time to cycle your balances, correct?

There are some cards that let the 12months start ticking only after you do your first BT so that's an option, but it's probably a good idea to have some strategy for where you'll push the debt that remains once the introductory period comes to an end. I'm not certain but I would think you can close existing cards and reapply as well.

I'm preparing to launch this AOR on Monday but I haven't yet decided if I'm going to go after 1 business first, both at once, or small groups of cards.

So, now that I started I basically am planning on giving it a 3-4 days to see how things play out, freezing eq and tu and doing a few more with exp unfrozen, unfreezing eq and tu and then disputing some inquiries and working on bumpage until they're both cleared out again.

I would be concerned about so many "endless loops" assuming you meant no response from the bank. Maybe you didn't wait long enough, and hopefully didn't cancel out of it before it gave you a response. Generally the banks app system is glitch free (at the majors at least)
If you did it very early morning it could be a glitch, but 4 or 5 banks? Something doesn't sound right here. If you don't get any inquiries from them, follow up for sure. I Had one bank lose my app once, only to find it months later. Someone mentioned to get a 2nd advanta, you need a biz with a separate DnB profile with a diff address on DNB listed. Have not verified this. It is probably too late to get this done, unless you buy creditbuilder. Many people forget to spice up their biz credit reports *(Dnb, ecp, EQ biz) before going on the rama..

Thanks PolarDude,

Yea, it was around 3am PST that I did the spree.

Anyone else have experience with having a frozen exp during apps with these cards?

Yea, I started the Advanta process but that takes awhile and I have a few more businesses to go back and do that with once I make some initial progress.

Well, Advanta proved totally worthless. They said you can only have one Advanta Biz card per social security number. Wanted financial documentation for personal and biz to raise my current line from $13k to $15k. yea right.

"spicing up" the biz report is extremely important in today's market. DNB paydex means absolutely nothing. Trade vendors will take this into account, but I don't think any capital lenders factor this into the approval/denial process or into their credit limit decision. . Experian Business is what you need to be concerned with more than any of the business reports. It is also ALOT more difficult to get information reported onto until you have some cards or financing for the company. I buy my companies with an experian business score and then build the DNB myself, that part is easy.

With rates where they are, you can get business lines of credit at prime with your score. It seems like most people here are interested in playing with completely no risk investments with their credit obtained, but at a prime rate so low, the door is opened for a lot of very low risk investments.

There are some really good investments out there right now, especially with money at these types of rates, I hope the credit crunch sticks around for a while. I have 5% utilization on my personal credit report because I rotate everything to the business lines.
