I've been looking for a way to get AOR money out of my cards easily, and my idea was to find an online bill payment site that takes credit cards for a small fee. (I'm using the AOR money for business capital, so I'm not too worried about beating interest rates.)

I found this site and before signing up and entrusting them with my information, I wanted to see if anyone here has experience using them.

Site is: www.paymentgenius.com

I am not affiliated with this site.

My strategy would obviously be to add myself or my SO as a payee, then send checks to ourselves.

Any thoughts on this site or approach? It's hard to find sites that do this ... is it illegal or not allowed by the CC companies??

Thanks much!

I have never used them, but looking at their website I would be concerned. Their FAQ website has errors, like: "If you don’t see the intuition you’d like to pay in our system, its easy to add one". I would imagine a serious, professional business would not make this kind of mistakes.

This doesn't look any cheaper than paypalling yourself the money. Am I missing something?

True, their website is juvenile at best.

And yes, paypal is an option that I didn't even consider in the realm of 'not free' ways to get AOR money. Thanks.

I want to say people contemplated doing this to get miles/points with the google checkout a while back. Google was running a promotion that they weren't charging you fees for 3 months or something.

Then people began getting worried that the IRS will come up to you and be like, 'so you did $700,000 worth of sales through google checkout and have nothing to show for it?'

They seem expensive. Their prices range from 2.75% to 4% depending on payment amount. You'd do better paying most BT fees.

what cards are you using?

There is a post here that talks about getting the funds sent to you.

Couldn't help it...too ironic.
