ThanksUp to your eyeballs in debt? Then its probably too late. But this isnt the place - this is a thread for you to read and learn from other's experiences, not hijack. Try reading here (and follow/read the many links in the quicksummary) to get your feet wet, then ask any questions here |

Okay... all my credit cards are now paid off. The only cards I haven't paid off is my Advanta biz card (7000 balance) and my wife's Advanta biz card (9000 balance) and my wife's Bank Atlantic biz card (28000 balance). I am now going to wait for my balances to report to zero (will probably take about a month). Once they report to zero I will start my AOR. I will use my wife's Bank Atlantic account as a BT destination for myself. Maybe if I apply for a Nat City card or something that requires a BT on the application. Speaking of National City they upped my credit line to $17,500. I wonder if there is any way to apply for another one of their zero fee BT cards and somehow move this limit over. |

Look here for links to get a report from each bureau, then follow the instructions to submit a dispute with each. You just have to flag each account as having an incorrect balance (or whatever the exact phrase is) on each report. |

OK all relevant credit cards are now officially paid off. Balances are zero on all the CC's websites. Now I just have to get them to report zero on my CRs and i am all set. How long do you think it would take after i start the dispute process? I am going to call the credit ninja line over at Barclays today to move my 40k limit over from BankAtlantic Biz to Juniper Nat Parks. If they can do this move instantly over the phone would it be beneficial to dispute the Nat Parks card as well to try to get that fat 40k limit personal card on my credit report? (right now it has a 500 limit). |

Hey guys... question. I called what I thought would be the Barclays credit department at 866-408-4064 and tried to get my credit line from Bank Atlantic moved over to my Juniper Nat Parks card. She asked for my SSN and she was only able to find the Nat Parks card. So I offered to give her the Biz credit card number but she asked if it was a biz card and I said yes. She then said she wasn't sure if the credit line could be moved so she was going to transfer me to credit card services for business at 706-644-3523. I asked her to just give me the direct number to that department which she did (the 706 number) and I said I would call them back directly when I had some free time. What am I doing wrong here? |

Ok right now it looks like I only have personal balances on my CR on two cards. National City $9900 balance (last reported TU on 9/3/08 and EQ on 9/1/08). This should I would assume report shortly with a 0 balance since it was paid down over a week ago. and HSBC $8475 balance (last reported TU on 8/30/08 and EQ 8/1/08 ???). I paid this card down on the 27th, so I am hoping that this card shows a 0 balance in a few days. If NatCity shows 0 balance but HSBC doesn't show 0 balance I will probably start this by applying for Citi and BOA (even with the HSBC balance). My credit scores are currently TU: 775 and EQ: 758 (EX probably in the 720+ range - frozen currently). My last AOR gave me good results with a 24k balance on a Citi personal card so I don't think $8300 on HSBC will be a major deal. I'll start with 2 apps and see what happens. I am not sure what to do now that Chase has no Biz BT offer. I want to keep my balances on my personal CR relatively low in hopes of a Chase Biz targetted offer. But is this a pipe dream? Plus even when I apply for Citi there is no guarantee they will even give me a card due to prior AA. Ugh. Not a good way to start the week. |

What am I doing wrong here? What you did wrong is not call back a second time . The CSRs cant see the biz cards, and have to forward the request to a supervisor. You must've run into a newbie who didnt know this. |

Ok should I just ask for a supervisor? Or should I just tell them I want it done and forward the request to a supervisor? They'll foward it to the 'Business Department' - they may try to connect you if someone is available. Just call again, if the CSR knows what they're doing they'll know what to do; if they are clueless you'll want to call back again anyways even if they say its taken care of. |

Ok called back and a different CSR said she would forward the request to move 41k of credit line from the Bank Atlantic card over to the Juniper. So hopefully this will go through. |

Ok the supervisor called me back. She wanted to verify that the credit line would be moved from the Bank Atlantic to the Juniper card. When I asked that most of the line get moved she asked if I wanted to close the Bank Atlantic card. So I said sure why not (since I would be doing this anyways). She is closing the BA card and moving the entire line over to Juniper. She said this would happen "immediately". Lets see how long it takes. |
