At the sign up page: "Others Have Also Selected..." a button indicates to "Upgrade My Order"... Monitoring Monitor your report at all 3 credit reporting agencies - Upgrade to 3-in-1 Monitoring. (it's the Equifax Credit Watch™ Gold with 3-in-1 Monitoring product.)

BEWARE:

When I added that 3 in 1 service, the 90 trial went away and I would have been billed immediately for $76.45.

I hit the back button and continued processing the "free 90 days order"

Then the confirmation screen indicated I did in fact order the Equifax Credit Watch™ Gold with 3-in-1 Monitoring product for $76.45 immediately billable.

This is awesome, I can actually see softs and no guess about choppage. But I don't think it will work for b*. Anyone?

101 softs with guesstimate 15 days until choppage. 3 services = 45 more softs, unless a daily pull on EQ Gold works for b*.

Anyone know if this is 24 hours + 1 minute?

It is silly to use your free report at all. Why not just cite adverse action. Why give them an extra 15 days to investigate

Maybe I'm just new, could someone define b*, c*, and choppage?
And recently I opened a penfed cc so my EQ took a dip. On other hand, I goodwilled CapOne to have all 30 day lates removed from my report so this will be a useful tool.

b = bumpage, bumping credit inquiries off your report
c = choppage, your credit file gets too many inquiries and your file is split.

I have 1 inquiry on Equifax so I wanted this service at this price for ID theft. They will chop the heck out of your file if you get this EQ product so if you are pulling a trimerge everyday this will hurt EQ B.

FWIW, I did in fact search. The following threads to be exact......>

I found nothing concrete in Ohio resident, dmlavigne1's thread.

Only this comment: Using Equifax Credit Watch service has been known to cause choppage

and jakeru's observation saying..."{after reading posts} about performing multiple daily pulls to achieve quicker bumpage, I was under the impression that only people using EQ creditwatch service were receiving the choppage"

Also searched were win333's thread and ChumChurum's most awesome post inside FinanceFan's basic topic of bumpage.

Does anyone want to venture a guess as to how long this offer will be available? I have an AOR coming up in 2-3 months, so I'd like to sign up for this later rather than sooner.
