Shamelessly taken from SD, havent seen it here in FW.

Credit goes to rotogrip300:

Some of you may not think its a good deal since its a BMW but this is pretty much the lowest rate you'll ever see on a BMW.

Basically all models, 0.9% financing for 60 months until July 31st.
Doesn't work on the 1 series or most M cars

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Co...vZjt3seA==

Saves about $50/month on a $30,000 loan compared to any normal BMW rate.
If you are in the market for a BMW like I am for a 335i, now is the time to buy.

My friend just got a 335i couple of months ago at 4.9%, he cringed when i told him about this =P

DO NOT GET THE 335!!! A friend of mine has one and his gauge cluster went out. So he took it to the dealer to get it replaced and that was simple enough. A couple of days later he noticed that his car was much slower... Then he found out that the dealers were re-flashing the computers with a new software that shuts off the turbo on first and second gear. He can't even peel tires!!! When BMW Corporate called him in regards to his service experience he told them that he was disgusted and if they wanted to play like that he was going to get rid of his car and buy a WRX STi. They said that they would call him back... Bad company indeed. I was actually thinking of maybe getting a 335 myself or a 135 convertible. This new info completely blows my plans. BEWARE!!!!!

While BMWs are far from perfect, I've had my 335 in the shop only once over the last 18 months for a bad light sensor. Everything else has been perfect.

Mostly likely an isolated incident?

I'm calling shenanigans on this one.

If BMW were really doing that, it would have been all over the web.

cuoreesitante said: Doesn't work on the 1 series or most M cars

Well, M5 and M6 show up as 0.9%, and Z4 M shows up as 1.9%... only M3 doesn't show as having a special rate... so what is this "most M cars" you speak of?

if you wanna save big money, look into European Delivery.

Dude, it IS ALL OVER THE WEB. Check out Turbo Lag Thread

This is one of many thread on this problem. It's related to a software update that leaves the waste gate open at low RPM's to solve a problem with the waste gate where it would rattle on only some cars. The result is considerable lag down low. I'm just waiting for a magazine to test a new car with this engine and comment on the lag that they don't remember having the first time they tested this car.

And, thanks for the heads-up OP.

I remember a time when the the most important thing about a car was it's constant ability in reliably getting you from Point A to Point B.

Then you should NOT consider a BMW, the "Ultimate driving machine", for your daily transportation. Perhaps the Tata nano is more your cup of tea:

Tata Car Company

Tata Nano: The World’s Cheapest Car

335 is one amazing car, so tempting with the .9%
What to do?!

i bought a 328i last month, anything i can do to get the new rate?

klawchy said: How can I get a European Delivery?

go to dealer, ask for european delivery. order it for european invoice price plus say $500.

wait for like 3 month, they pay for 1 ticket, hotel and car insurance. pickup in europe, drive for few days. drop it off, go to airport and fly back to states. wait another 40days for usa port pickup.

So you spend a mountainload of moolah on something so you can stamp your affordability status or pick up a weekend l*y. When will people learn not to waste money ?

What is financing offer 0.9% mean?
Only for loan to buy or lease?
I pay by cash and usually get 3k-5k under invoice, so this offer doesn't help right?
Or do I get an discount if I lease a 335 coupe? Say I only need max 10k mile/yr, 2 year lease, 2500 down?

Honda and BMW are apples and oranges. Honda's are great for reliability and great family cars but they have zero sex appeal. They are the cars you buy after you get married and have a couple kids. Honda have a line of perhaps the most vanilla and unexciting cars you can drive.

I was a Honda Civic guy for many years. Test drove a 328i & now I'll never go back. Good thing I never drove the 335i or my bank account would be $7000 less right now. I recommend that you never test drive a BMW if you want to continue loving your Honda.

Wow, thanks for the link for this. I used to have a 740iL and sold it to a realtor during the housing boom. Now I need to decide do I want one of these, or a new Yamaha R6?

My lightly modded Integra will smoke any non-M3 Bimmer at the strip or in the twisties. Race for pink slips?

You need a BMW K1200S

BMW Motorcycles: Bikes: K 1200 S

Very true but you have to have been a member of BMWCCA for at least 1 year before your purchase. The vast majority of random FW folks and first-time buyers will not already belong to BMWCCA. Also, the rebate varies:

$500 Z4, all models including the Z4 M
$500 3 Series, all models including M3
$1,000 5 Series, all models including M5
$1,000 6 Series, all models including M6
$1,500 7 Series, all models including Alpina
$500 X3 all models
$1,000 X5 all models
$500 Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles

And your point is? The post is about .9% for a BMW. If you are in a market for a BMW, good deal otherwise.. move along and let's not turn it into another dicussion on comparing BMW to X brand.

650 is nowhere near tier 1. 650 is actually below average.

I would think that you need to be at least in the 700 score to qualify for most financing deal.

I was just answering his nonsense that Hondas aren't performance cars, not trying to start a flame war.

dinan stage 2 335i will smoke an m3 up to 100mph and have no lag

times are tough with their leases and the huge write offs they've been taking including the falling dollar.

quite honestly who wants a bmw past 4/48K?

no free service
no free tires (with safeguard)
no free bmw assist (on-star)

the 3.0 (x28i/x30i) motors use the GM transmission (google bmw X3 GM transmission issues).

the 325i(old) and 335i use the standard issue german ZF tranny which are damn near bullet proof for steptronic.

MY2009 model 3 series get the new CIC 40gb idrive and a face lift so since you can order those now people do not want the current junky idrive. The new LCI facelift for the E90 is questionably better. not sure about the led front lights, not sure about the 1'ish front bumper. the tail looks nicer. side and ears(mirrors) look marginally better.

if you've owned a B5 audi S4 twin turbo you would realize that back then the post-warranty TCO was about $200-300 a month before major failures occurred.

I'm seeing an average (staggered tires) of 8K per tire. So if you don't have the safeguard free replacement if you get a nail or road hazard $600-800 package you can set yourself up big time. 18" runflats can run you $300-400 installed and guess who has spares in stock always : BMW ; guess who else has them in stock and matching? not many other people have a 255-35-18 on any given moment and with no spare tire you best get a donut on any road-trips.

Based on my feeler of the E90 series compared to the older E46 i had i have to say quality is down. the engine management sucks (takes 2-4 seconds of turnover to start about 50% of the time, probably a HPFP (fuel pump) imminent failure which the NHTSA is looking into recalling.

I WOULD NOT want to own this vehicle. Look at the residuals and look at the cars that are 24 months old. they are selling far below the residuals on the market around here.

Then go looking around for aftermarket warranties that will carry you to 7yrs/100K and you'll find squat. BI-turbo is exotic motor. Or the GM tranny as i said google the X3 gm transmission issues. no thanks.

lease it; write it off on your business as much as legal; drive it hard; put it away wet and turn it back in.

gas and go

bmwFS has tiers? they made us fill out a micro-app like smaller than a credit card app and there was no tiers for lease approved or not.

thats a good rate but man those residuals are not accurate; they are still inflated. Service I and service II for any bmw is alot of money whether its a 128 or 328 or 335 or m3. On-star after 4y probably not cheap. free mobile mechanic to come to you to fix your car probably not free any more.

It's a great rate but owning a bmw; you should buy used to not take it pants down on depreciation and pay tax on a car that will eventually eat up all your money on service and repairs.

I'm sure if you wait the deals will get sweeter as the MY09's start rolling in and nobody wants the MY08's i think every model is getting the new CIC based on preview pics and the 40gb nav/mp3/other device does a whole lot more than the current CCC idrive which is junk. makes my dash look like the best gps on the planet. lol.

Actually that would be Toyota. Though Honda wouldn't be that far behind.

dude i drove a new honda. it was scarey. dead center steering play; body roll; if it wasn't for back pain from the horrid seats and absolute atrocious performance (go and stop, and turning) the honda accord is a nice car. i think it got about 25mpg 4 cyl compared to 20.4 mpg (bmw 3.0 328i) compared to dinan 335i (380hp) getting 18.6mpg pretty much driving the same route.

thats like comparing a harley to a ducati in terms of handling lol.

same goes with all other brands that are not european (japanese/american).

Guess thats why bmw 3 series has been #1 for what like 13 years?

I was only comparing them financially...there was no mention about comparing them in handling, aesthetics etc...just cost!
No need to get bent out of shape defending the 3 series...its a nice car
