I just tried to get a CLI from citi via the website and cannot find the option any more. It seems that they changed the layout. Has anybody else seen this option with the new layout?

Yes. It's there. Calm down.

Thanks for the reply. I have logged in and out a number of times now. It seems like they are trying out a new user interface. I have noticed that internet explorer tends to show the old interface while firefox shows the new one. I took some screenshots, in case someone is interested. Not sure where to post them...

By the way the new interface is lacking a CLI option as far as I can tell. Have been looking quite a bit now....

Citi hasn't given me an automatic increase since September. A-holes. I used to get it like ever 3 or 6 months.

If the layout of account-online has changed, I haven't seen it. Everything looks the same as it did last month.

I've seen it going back and forth (new and old layout) for a week or two now. I even saw a special notice:

"We are currently upgrading Account Online. Over the next several days, you may experience different screens after you sign on to your account. Thanks for your patience."

Incidentally when I did have the new layout, a couple of my accounts had the CLI option and a couple did not. Hopefully they get it sorted out when the change is permanent.

CLI option not here?

Bank must be failing!

Run Run Run!

jackcrawfish reports here, that typing https://www.accountonline.com/CLI (once logged in) gets the job done (even with the new interface)

In the new interface, hover your mouse over "Tools & Services" in the top menu, and see if "Request a Credit Line Increase" is about halfway down the menu which pops up. This may or may not be present. I have three Citi cards, and that menu item only displays for one of the three.

yeah ... it looks like they're showing the CLI option only for some of the cards (0 on 2 cards for me, 1 on 3 cards for a family member). An interesting question is: does the absence of the CLI item on the menu mean that one's request would be denied anyway? As I just mention CLI option is not available on either of the two cards I have; coincidentally, my last CLI requests on each card were denied. Same thing for the family member mentioned above: he was denied CLI (few weeks ago) on the cards CLI option does not show for; his last CLI request was approved on the card CLI options shows for today (unfortunately, today they want him to fill out the form).

IME, the CLI option is missing for the two cards I just got CLIs a few days ago. For the others I got:
1. EQ - rejected (soft pull?), reason: unused account
2. Form to fill (most likely a hard pull will follow)
3. Instant rejection - reason: account is too new

Yeah, its totally gone on mine. But I've abused the hell out of it. ehh...

jackcrawfish's trick no longer works...

" Page Unavailable

The page you requested is no longer available. You will be redirected to the sign-on page momentarily, or you can visit the sign-on page now. "

I got 3 citi cards and only one has the CLI button (it's the card with the lower limit). Clicked on it and instantly denied.. saying the decision was based on EQ.. blah blah.

So from now on, we have to call?

Would you please explain "abused the h*ll out of it". From x to xx. I've asked for one CLI, from 7.3 to 27.3, which was granted. I'd like to ask for another cli, but am reluctant. Thanks.

Only 2 of my 3 cards show the CLI link but no auto increase on either of them

I just requested a credit line increase by using the option under the "Tools & Services" menu on the site with the new design and was offered an immediate $2500 increase. I accepted it, and immediately the option has disappeared from the menu now.

I guess the menu option must be a little more intuitive... only there if you are somewhat eligible for one?

Its been gone on both of my Citi Diamond cards since the website update. Sucks because I got 8 or so CLI's in the past few months.

If it comes back for anyone, can you report back with the url?

My card still has it, and the link takes me here That page has the form to fill out, though, and says at the bottom, "By submitting this form you authorize Citibank (South Dakota), N.A. to check your credit history." I don't know if instant CLIs are possible anymore.

Just checked. Have 5 cards b/n wife and I all under one username.

3 of 5 had "Request CLI" in the summary box (right lower box). The other 2 said view BT offer.

First CLI link I tried gave me the form to fill in, and authorize credit check. I hit 'back'.

Second account offered me immediate increase of 1K on a 3.3K line (I'd previously moved most of the line to a BT card). I accepted. There was an option to request more, but I think that leads to the form and the credit check.

Third one also went straight to the form.

I checked the two accounts that had the BT offer rather than CLI in the box. One of them did have a request CLI option in the Tools menu (straight to form), the other did not (it's a new account).

I have noticed for the past few months that I'd either see the 'Check BT offer' or 'Request CLI' links in the account boxes. Requesting a CLI never netted an auto-increase if the link wasn't already showing.

I noticed today that the online credit increase request now requests information regarding not only your income, but two banking institutions, too (account number and phone number of bank). Perhaps another sign of the tightening credit market? Verifying average balances or total deposits, etc.? I'm fairly certain this has never been asked before. Their standard apps only ask if you have Checking/Savings/MM accounts.

I have had the banking questions for the past 18 months on my CLI form. Citi has never really liked me.

Maybe it's always been there. I've only accepted the automatic ones, never filled out the form.

Ive never had it ask me for banks phone numbers.

i dont have the option either. i think it just went away.

When replying to Citi and vice versa, is it possible to include the original message and/or message trail? Prior to "redesign" of website this was default.

Just got my first CLI with the new GUI.

The card I got it on didn't have a CLI link, but one of my other cards did. So I used that link, then from the drop down menu selected the card that didn't have the CLI link, and bingo, Congratulations! Your credit line has immediately increased by [$1,500.00] for a total new credit line of [$5,100.00].

Lucky you, I tried this as well, but when I selected cards from the drop list which didn't show me the CLI option on the main account list, I received this error:

General Error

We've had a problem processing your request.

* Return to Account Home

This service is not available for this account.

It shows up on 2 of my 5 cards. I guess it only shows up if they feel like giving you one, or maybe if you haven't gotten one in X time.

Yeah, I got that same error up until yesterday. I think my last CLI was ~3 months ago.

I have a citi dividend card. My online CLI option expired in June. Today, I called citi and CSR said she can not do CLI without a credit pull.

Does anyone get weird responses? For example, I'll get the automatic CLI approval on certain accounts, but sometimes I won't even get the little submission form. One instance it told me that I couldn't be instantly approved and then I'll get a letter in the mail 10 days later telling me the reason why I was rejected (wtf?). And just now, it said they couldn't approve me based on the credit report and current credit score. I mean, I didn't even get the form to fill out, I just selected the option once!

Happens to me all the time. You click the CLI item on the drop-down menu and you're suddenly at step 3 of the process with a denial jumping at you off the web-page. The letter does come a week later, but there are no material consequences as far as I can tell.

Yea, good to know I'm not the only one. I don't think I've ever been dinged with a hard inq, but nonetheless it's ridiculous

It went away on my Citi Professional Card or Dimond Rewards Card but is still there on my Citi MTVu card.

Mine just reappeared on my dividend card. But its giving me the form. :-/

Just clicked on my CitiBusiness card and it offered an instant $8k increase... no good BT offers at the moment though.

On another account, my Citi AMEX is offering 0% BT til June 09 with a capped $99 fee.

with the new interface, you didnt fill out the form to get the instant CLI right?

skchan2 said: with the new interface, you didnt fill out the form to get the instant CLI right?
Correct, I didn't fill out anything. The offer popped up immediately upon clicking on the CLI link.
