$10 Discover Gift Card for Every $100 Purchased with Discover Card at Participating Malls

The long title almost says it all. Has to be at least $100 purchased with Discover Card at participating malls from August 1 thru September 7, 2008 AND then starts all over in November.

"*Get a $10 Discover® Gift Card when you make $100 in purchases with your Discover Card at a participating mall between 8/1/08–9/7/08, while supplies last. Original receipts and your Discover Card must be presented to a participating mall's Customer Service by 9/7/08. Limit 5 Gift Cards per account, during the promotion period. See Gift Card terms and conditions for full details."

Not sure if this belongs in Hot Deals or Finance since not everyone has a Discover card.

Oh boy.... Minority Dan... you ready for this one?

Not nearly as good as the 20 for 200 deal last xmas, and I'm only within an hour of 3 malls this time, but let's see... 3 malls, times 3 cards, times 100 dollars = 900 bucks. Minus a tank of gas and 6 hours of my times.... it could be done.

I'm ready. I could use another 20 Movado's.

Sadly, I only have 2 discover cards at this point - my next one has to wait till Mid August

-- Those 3 malls are pretty close (AM and CO are very close). But its $50 per card Per Mall the way I see it. Until the double dipping starts (and I did alot of double dipping last year).

Oh yeah, only 50 bucks per card... bummer. That's starting to look like a lot of work. I'm on vaca the first week of August, but I'm sure my OCD will find me on the road to Arundel Mills shortly upon my return.

Is it just me or do the Discover card promotions get me excited then disapointed by the limits of the promotions. The promotions are never enough to remove the card from the drawer and pay another bill per month.

Or for buying any GC from stores in the mall? It says "See Gift Card terms and conditions for full details," but I'm not seeing a link to the terms/conditions anywhere.

Yes, you can buy gift cards, at least I did last xmas a few times.

I hit a mall today and got the cards using the same tactic as last time. These GC's expire in march 09.

Fortunately, I live within 30 mins of one of the 3 remaining malls in CA. Got 3 cards this weekend going with my wife, and picking up some birthday and shower presents from her list, paying my ATT bill, and getting a couple other items we've been planning.

Only bad part was when I went to redeem the receipts, the woman had stepped away for "less than 10 mins", so I ended up waiting 30 mins for my cards.

Looks like double dipping is working. Wife and I were able to get the deal. she is additional card member on my card.
