Sogotrade seems a good savings if you trade frequently. The 100 free trades (and account transfer reimbursement upto $100) is mentioned at Sogotrade.com Then there's free trades for referals.
Didn't see this posted on Hot Deals before, though sogotrade has been mentioned very briefly in occasional Finance threads. Hope my post will help save some money for you - give me green if you think it will.

I don't think it beats zecco with 10 free trades per month, but for those who don't have $2500, but have $500 this is a good deal. Green for you.
I'd looked at zecco earlier, but was unsure if they could subsist on "free trades" too long. Was also put off by their $30 IRA account fees. Will have to check if Sogotrade has IRA account fees.
I use Zecco, but the interface is pretty awful. SogoElite is intriguing to me... Any actual Sogo users here that can give a rundown on the interface?

I use Sogo as my primary brokerage. They upgraded their interface earlier this year and it has some good tools, like performance charts. When they first switched the interface, it reported the wrong real-time price for a stock somehow, and I sold, thinking it was up. Actually this worked out because I avoided a big drop. I haven't seen any incorrect prices since then. One thing that bothers me is that it's not really clear whether your order has gone through. It seems to remain in a limbo state where it doesn't show up in your account history or in active orders for a few minutes after you execute.
