Let me preface by saying I've been to creditboards and haven't had any luck getting useful responses, since I'm sure I'll be directed there. So, I have a credit card from BOA that was opened in 2002 and paid in full on time every month since then. This was my only CC until last year, so it represents the bulk of my credit history, and the majority of my available credit. For some reason, TransUnion had this card pulling to my father's report, and he had them take it off about a year ago. I then pulled my report and noticed it was missing. Long story short, I've submitted requests to TU at least 5x, asking to have this added, and I've gotten one response stating that I need to contact BOA. I've contacted BOA via mail and email at least 20x, and submitted complaints against BOA and TU to the FTC, BBB, and Comptroller of the Currency... finally getting someone to put some effort in by emailing Ken Lewis (CEO) himself (thanks to consumerist dot com for that email address!). About a month ago, someone from the BOA exec office called and said that it would be taken care of, but I still don't see this on my TU report, and it's hurting my score big time. Anyone ever have any luck getting accounts ADDED to a credit report? TU just gives me the same response of "You need to contact your creditor and have them report" despite the fact that I've mailed them a letter from BOA stating "this account is being reported to TransUnion"... does anyone have contact info (email addresses, phone #'s, etc.) to some higher-ups at TransUnion? This has dragged on for almost a year, and I'd really prefer not to open a lawsuit. |
