The general 2% cards are mentioned on the weekend card's page too (in case you don't qualify for the weekend version). The drawback with those is the $400 annual cap.
Does HSBC take out the 2% everyday card? I don't see it with that link. The 2% card isn't advertised. When you use a link you may instead be offered a card that does not offer 2% and has a $39 annual fee. If you actually are offered the 2% card your CL will be very low. Finally, some have mentioned problems redeeming rewards. As for the weekend card, only purchases on the weekend qualify, but the catch is that most of the time when you purchase something on the weekend it will post to your card the following Monday, so you will not earn the 2% rate. The Weekend card also requires about a 770 FICO for acceptance. All in all, these cards aren't as great as they sound.

They only list that you get 1% reward during the statement period. You'll need to look at your total reward amount to verify if it has the correct 2% reward amount.
I had this card and also only got 1% back on weekend purchases. Over the span of 1.5 years, I've called HSBC three times regarding this issue. Each time, the CSR would review my statement and agree that there was an error. I would be told that I would be credited correctly after one or two billing cycles. I also ask what I can do to make sure I get 2% in the future. The answer was nothing and it should happen automatically. Needless to say, I never got my Cash Back credited nor did I ever get 2%. The last time I called, I spoke with a "supervisor" for a while and was told they would investigate the issue and I would receiver a letter in the mail in 4-6 weeks explaining what had happen. Several months has since passed with no letter.
I gave up on the card, especially after I got the 2% Household Bank card.
